What's the point of the prayer shawl? Great weapon of power? How about the Holy Spirit! The word of God. Is this young man not a Gentile? Try Galatians... we don't need mediums, just the King!!!
I totally agree that we are not commissioned to use objects to bring forth god's power. Our faith is not in the object. However, whether it is annointed oil, a prayer shaw, annointed candles, shofars, even crosses, they are spiritual tools to increase the faith of the believer. They are physical representations of a spiritual manifestation. It is a physical reminder to the user as well as the enemy of the incomporable power of Jesus and the very real presence of the Holy Spirit.
There is nothing wrong with utilizing the tools that God has given us and which still DO apply in the New Testament as long as we keep them in perspective. It is not the object but the holy spirit that has the power. Even Prayer handkerchiefs were used in the New Testament and oil was used by the disciples as a tool while healing and delivering.
PRAISE GOD, awesome annointing. Its great to see another brother using a prayer shawl. I use a prayer shawl when I minister and have had some of my greatest experiences with the Holy Ghost while using it. We need to keep using this great weapon of POWER!!
