  • would love you to give some tabs, or tape your playing, etc. good job man.

  • Awesome tone and playing! Quick question, is this the stock speaker, or did you swap it out for another?

  • Congrats! Did you ever try this amp with a Les Paul? What's the clean reserve?

    Thank you

  • Don't worry, this amp is loud enough!

With a strat the crunch appears at 5/6 on the volume and it's very loud...

  • hey, I'm looking for an amp with awesome tone, obviously this is awesome tone. but will it be loud enough to play in a band with two guitars a bass and drums?

  • awesome demo titty. nice name too

  • Brother, uve got groove and sweet tones. Ive never knew vintage sounded like this before, but i sure am gng to look into it further man. THanks!

    Godbless brother. Sweet moves man!

  • @hugodevotion

Thank you for your kind words.

I'm happy that you like this video. The Deluxe Reverb is one of my favourites amps.

Look at youtube, there are a lot of videos which are best than mine... I'm just a little guitar player.

    All the best

  • You get a good vibe going!

  • Do you change tubes often?

  • hey if possible can i ahve the tab for this :D thanks man excellent demo, gonna be buying this amp soon.

  • yeah thank you for dialing in that sound correctly. This is what a Fender Strat/Deluxe reverb can really sound like if you know what youre doing. Don't listen to that dude from World Music Supply.

  • hey man are you using to record this? Thanks!

  • thanks so much for the quick response!!!!...for the others it's:

    volume: 2, bass: 6, treble: 3, 5...maybe 4

  • Thanks for that great demo. I'm trying to get a similar sound out of mine. Would you share what settings you use for your treble, bass, reverb etc? It would be very helpful...thanks!

  • @DaveScarcella

    Thank you for your comment!

The settings in clean tone are:

    Volume 2, Bass 6, Treble 4, reverb 3,5 maybe 4.

With the TS9, i use the same settings for the amp.

I hope it will help you...

  • Ibanez Tubescreamers sound really good through a 1971 Deluxe Reverb.

  • i want to get either this one or the fender deluxe vm which one should i get?

  • that is a very seductive tone and playing

  • I like the blues.

  • I prefer the DR but the choice is your and you must do it thinking of the way that you want use it.

The Blues Deluxe is very powerful amp, and it's difficult to play with volume knob because at 3, it's too loud!

I played the DR at volume of 4, sometimes 5, and the tone was great!

For me Fender Blackfaces are a clean tone reference.

I hope you will do the choice which will be good for you.

  • I'm torn between this and the blues deluxe....both are sweet amps

  • Very cool tone !!!

  • I just ordered one of these amps. A fantastic piece of equipment. In my opinion a Strat running through one of these (or most Fender valve amps) is basically impossible to beat tone-wise. The TS-9 adds the perfect bite as well.

  • They sound great with Telecasters too

  • Definitely, this is a great amp for blues and hot country and shit. Fender guitars running through Fender amps in general just sound great.

  • Hey! What pickups this Strat have? Thanks

  • This strat is equipped with 2 Lace Sensor Gold pickups.

  • And the third (3º) pickup?

  • Sorry, 3 Lace Sensor Gold, lol!

  • too much reverb.

  • I have a fender twin reverb. I like it, but with my pedals it seems like I have to turn it up too loud to get a good tone out of it. Its 85 watts. I know this is pretty much the same thing as the twin only less wattage and a single speaker. My main question is is it loud enough to jam with a band and still have enough headroom to get louder if need be. Because 22 watts sounds awful low to me. let me know! THanks!

  • Yes this amp is loud enough for playing with a band. It's 22 LOUD watts!

The headroom is OK at 5/6 on volume knob (with a strat). I think with humbuckers the headroom is less on the volume.

I use this amp on gig at a 4/5 volume! Very powerful amp.

I hope this can help you!

  • 22 watts are enough buddy...with a good p.a. system you play live anywhere you want too...

  • @libertyfalls ah, but 15 -40 watt amps are where the sweet tones come from. Naturally they break up at lower volumes, but then any amp 15 watts and up can be slaved out to an external speaker(s) or you can simply mic the amp and go through the P A. Remember-Page played a tiny Supro amp onLed Zeppelin's 1st lp . He didn't have his Marshall yet. Any amp over 50 watts is overkill unless you're playing stadiums and large venues like Madison Square Garden.

  • This amp is pure golden! It's playable from 2 to 10!

I used it with drummers at about 7 and it was clearly heard! And if you live in an apartment (which is my case) you still can have a tone that's gonna give you a boner!

  • @libertyfalls Yes it is loud, but if you play it past 6 volume wise, with an od pedal with the gain past 9 o clock , the notes will sail into feedback to easily. that's the only drawback. its' a great amp otherwise/////

  • wow, ill take this over shredding any day.

  • Yes...I own the twin and i know that problem but i use it with a shitty pedal anyway(DS-1) but the off bright position is nice for jazz and it can sound good in its own way but it sucks in rythm playing, no attack. For just soloing it's nice or slow jazzy chordings, not much more in my opinion. I wonder if a good tube distorsion pedal(or just a good pedal) would work fine with the twin(or deluxe reverb) because i know that boss sucks

  • I'm just afraid the a distorsion pedal would sound trebly and shitty in this amp as it does in my twin as i'm seriously considering buying this amp and sold the twin

  • I have never played a twin but i think that it's a more bright amp... In this video i have use too much gain on the TS9, but with a little less the sound is incredible!

  • the twin at 2 sounds quite weak in terms of quality.i have it.that's why i want to buy the deluxe... the twin is impossible to really use in in its full potentiality in a house..only ina band

  • Salut

    A+

  • Salut !

    A+

  • Salut Titi,

Je cherche actuellement un ampli et possède aussi une TS9 et j'avoue que ta vidéo est très convaincante pour le Deluxe Reverb ! Tu ne l'utilises qu'à la maison ? En es-tu satisfait ? Merci d'avance.

  • Hi, will the tube break up at bedroom volume with the Deluxe? Should I buy a 65' Twin Reverb if I wanna get crystal clean tone at moderate volume? Thanks for your advice.

  • The Deluxe starts to break up around volume 4 which is quite loud for bedroom use. The twin reverb gives the best clean tones, you would need to have it crancked to about 8 to get any breakage but the twin is by far too loud for bedroom use!! It will litrally blow you out of your room at volume 2!!

  • You're right. by the time you reply to my question, I bought a '65 Deluxe and it's exactly what I needed. Thanks. You can listen to it on my YouTube page (Hello Mary Lou, Mystery Train, That's all Right).

  • incredible tone man

    what guitar are you using?

sounds great with that amp and pedal

  • is the Deluxe Reverb a Reissue?

  • Yes it's a 65 reissue.

  • thank you

  • thanxs man , you cool.

  • It's SYLVANIA JHS 12 AX7.

  • good tone dude, i got the same amp , and i want change the tube on the vibrato chanel like yours,is this sylvania vintage NOS EL34 ,fat boy, big botle? please respond , thanxs. keep rocking....

  • Deluxe reverb + tube screamer = awesome combo

  • ha, a tube overdrive pedal on the king amp of blues overdrive, now thats original, sounds great, makes me wish i had 900 bucks for an amp, or even 1200 for the twin (insert sad face)

  • The depth of tone from this particular is supurb. Are there any replacment tubes in this amp? If so,please describe.

This can't be a stock amp; is it?

  • Yes it's a stock amp.

I've just replace one tube 12AX7 on vibrato canal: SYLVANIA NOS.

  • this amp is pure perfection

  • Great demo... thanks for posting it

  • Yes, but i recorded this vidéo at volume 2...

  • Hey awesome sound. and btw,

are you playing a speeded up version of a Jimi Hendrix tune? =P

    Really mint! <3

  • love this sound

  • Thanks for this information!

  • Yes, removing the wood piece from the back would allow for more air flow and cool the tubes a bit more but in transit put it back on for protection.

  • that was truly splendid

  • Sounds great- what's it sound like w/o effcts? BTW do you always keep this close of an eye on the amp- does it move or something?

  • I try to tell you that this noise is not a problem, in my opinion.

  • That sounds great, both with and without the ts9. I really like your playing style, and the DRI complements it very nicely.

For those criticizing the use of the ts9, it has its place -- SRV used a ts808 into his super reverbs for leads, and I think it worked out ok for him :).

  • Hello!

I hear also this pop with the standby...

    I think it's normal.

  • normal... !!!

  • Hey...Have you noticed a "Pop" from the speaker with you turn the Amp off and back onto Standyby? (You hear the pop from the speaker JUST AS you flick the standby switch onto Standby and put the Amp into Standby Mode) Do you hear it too? Nothing serious just a little like snap or pop from the speaker...Hey, did you try my Reccommended Amp Settings settings...How'd it sound after the settings? Doc

  • I hear the same "pop" when switching!!..glad all's normal..what about removing the piece of wood across the back that protects the tubes?..I know it's there for a reason, but maybe things won't get so hot back there!..could that help to col things off?

  • It's meant to get hot back there.

  • the heat won't cause no damage?

  • It shouldn't no.

Tubes are meant to be hot, it's in their nature. I've even seen some have warnings against placing fans there to make them cold, etc.

  • thanks!..cool tip! - I mean hot tip!

  • Hello!

Sorry for my english because i don't speak very well.

    Many thanks for these informations.

I will try and like this and i will inform you.

    Thank you very much!

    Bye

  • Try this...set the Tube Screamer's Gain to 2 1/2, the Tone to 12 o'clock, and the Level to 6. Now set the Deluxe Amp's Bass to 7 and the Treble to 5 1/2, Reverb to 3, Vibrato OFF, and the Amp's Volume to 6...Now,Play your ass off! Now, The Best way to play the Deluxe...

Volume 10, Treble, 6 Bass 7, Reverb 3 Vibrato Off...Control volume from the guitar...SWEET!NO PEDAL NEEDED!

  • Many thanks for all comments!

  • the tubescreamer sounds fine, just turn down the gain a little bit (if it is not already turned down). Recordings seems to amplify gain, the lesser the better, turn "level" up, but "gain" down on the tubescreamer for recording. Playing live, this would probably sound perfect (it does sound pretty good right now, don't get me wrong).

  • Hello!

It'a strat plus with lace sensor gold pickups

  • killer tone! what kinda guitar are you useing?

  • Man, you have no idea what that damn Tube Screamer did to Fu-kup your Tone...Use the Amp, you began quite well and went totally South...The TS808 is MUCH Better ($169) but still...not needed with such a great Tube Amp with Reverb/Tremolo/Vibrato, Etc. The Tone from the Deluxe and your Strat clean with just a guitar chord were JUST FINE! Doc

  • Great tune, I like the TS9, too.

  • That sounded great until the TS9 was kicked in.

great playing, but the overdriven tone was a bit too fizzy for my liking. i have the same amp, and until i have the money to replace the speaker i dont play any OD pedals into it because they sound way too harsh with them.

  • Well I liked the TS ) very much... and couldn´t find any harshness in it.. Everybody hears it different I think. But honestley the new deluxe reverbs with their Jensen speakers are far away from what I call harsh. I would go further and say its one of the best amps on the market for clean, and break up sounds. It sounds great out of stock!I am a believer! I tried, and owned many Fender Twin,Evil Twin,Bassman great amp sold it because I needed $ Marshalls (small Valvestate combo) but DRRI is best

  • Sorry but i don't remember which were the TS9 settings for this video...

About the amp: volume 2, bass 6, treble 4

    Bye!

  • what r the settings ts-9 & amp ?

  • Thanks!

I use the TS9 pedal at home because turn the amp isn't possible!

    Bye!

  • I know what you mean, I have a old Twin Reverb they are too loud but I get to wind it up at gigs..I had a gig last night!

  • Sweet playing man, you have a great tone! sounds great but...if you just turn the amp up you will get a better break up and you dont need the TS9!
