They should've made a fourth series, about there life in the in the new park, following on from the white deer park and the other park being merged as one.
The new park is under attack from a large black cat killing the deer (like the exmoor beast, and a reference to the large cat featured in the books) and the other animals try to get it out the park, Ranger and charmer would have cubs and adder gets over the loss of sinuous and finds a new mate. That would be part of a new story line.

Yeah very true when this present is cross referenced with the originals, very emotional indeed, channeling something on the scale of Watership Down. I do wish though that there was a greater union between the blue foxes and the farthing wood animals though. I'd have liked to see Lady Blue calm down.

It was sad but funny and it showed what really happens in the wild, well what could happen anyways. I almost cryed every time an animal died.. well i know i cryed when the hedgehogs died it was horrible, at least they died together and not alone.

This was an awesome searis. But i do have abit of probl;em. what happen to Friendly you dont realy see him. and what about Whisper cubs? and I dont quite like the ending. I was kandy think it would end whne fox deid of old age. sort of like the last epsiode his of him rembering of what happens in a peacfull sleep.
I love this series, but I don't ever found the third in Italian ... so I can't understand everything ... what a shame. (in Italian the title, translated, is "the adventures of the small wood". XD).

I really miss this show, It was one of the best things from my childhood. I'd really like for the series to continue or for a movie to be made but these days with the new transformers movies and the Eragon movie you cant trust Hollywood not to screw it up.

im a french fan since i was young, really really fond of it. the series has been released in dvd (serie 1 fr the moment) last february, and it's a real plasure to see it again. my dream would be to become a director, so if my dream comes true, i promess to all the fans, to make a movie of this, with the special spirit of farthing wood.
God I hate it when things end unfortunately it ends when the book/books end. You could never make a movie out of it the whole stories in there with something like eg. The..Moomins or something theres no real storyline to it you can but The Animals of Farthing Wood has already been told as the series and I don't know if the guy who wrote it is still alive but he or the person with the rights would have to write another book for another series, sad though but at least we never saw fox die.
just watched the entire series and it was pretty awsome. the art really changed. easpecially the rabbits like 0:38 and 1:10. i just wish that the animated the last book.
I really like this show a lot. Maybe there should be a live action movie for The animals of farthing wood. After all with better CGI these days they could show the animals talking just as good as the ones in Babe and Doctor Dolittle.

No wonder. But if you have seen the cartoons and you love The Dinobots and they're not in the film you see why I don't like it. The Dinobots were what made me like Transformers. A show without my favorites is not good to me.
Another thing too when I said some live action movies are not as good as the cartoons they are based on I did not like the Garfield movies because they were not as good as the cartoons. I also admit that if I grew up loving the Dinobots that's why I loved the Transformers cartoons because I like animals. That's also why I also like Beast Wars. I don't like vehicles. If they put the Dinobots in the next movie planed for 2012 maybe I might think about liking all three. But not at thise time.

@trunksGav Actually, there really is no real reason as to her mysterious disappearence in Season 3.
But in the books, Kestrel (who is a male), flies off to somewhere else so that he didn't risk eating another Farthing animal.

I'm also very thankful that fox didn't die before the end of the series. That would have destroyed me.

Friendly, apparently, wasn't popular so they didn't use him much.
Whisper's cub is Plucky, we see him all the time.
I can kind of understand you're desired ending but, personally, I think it would've broken my heart to see Fox die, even if it was peacefully.

I only wish there was more of the original Farthing Wood animals still around at the end. Didn;t think series 3 really came close to matching the first two aswell.

It is out on DVD but only in certain countries. I have the series 1 DVD in English/German..

Used to watch this when I was a kid. I enjoyed reliving the memories. I did wonder where Kestrel and Friendly had gone also. I also think there should be DVD's available.

Love Farthing Wood, even though it turned into white deer park. I wish Friendly and Kestrel didn't DISAPPEAR....did anyone else notice that Friendly just disappeared? No one ever said what happened to him. Oh well my fav parts in the series was bold's adventures and the red fox blue fox episodes!

I really miss this show, It was one of the best things from my childhood. I'd really like for the series to continue or for a movie to be made but these days with the new transformers movies and the Eragon movie you cant trust Hollywood not to screw it up.
*Sigh* Oh well, the least they could do is make a DVD release. This was only on VHS wasnt it?

im a french fan since i was young, really really fond of it. the series has been released in dvd (serie 1 fr the moment) last february, and it's a real plasure to see it again. my dream would be to become a director, so if my dream comes true, i promess to all the fans, to make a movie of this, with the special spirit of farthing wood.

God I hate it when things end unfortunately it ends when the book/books end. You could never make a movie out of it the whole stories in there with something like eg. The..Moomins or something theres no real storyline to it you can but The Animals of Farthing Wood has already been told as the series and I don't know if the guy who wrote it is still alive but he or the person with the rights would have to write another book for another series, sad though but at least we never saw fox die.

not a bad series. no where near as good as 1 & 2 though. storyline never gave the same "shock" impact as what the other series did.

just watched the entire series and it was pretty awsome. the art really changed. easpecially the rabbits like 0:38 and 1:10. i just wish that the animated the last book.

I really like this show a lot. Maybe there should be a live action movie for The animals of farthing wood. After all with better CGI these days they could show the animals talking just as good as the ones in Babe and Doctor Dolittle.

No wonder. But if you have seen the cartoons and you love The Dinobots and they're not in the film you see why I don't like it. The Dinobots were what made me like Transformers. A show without my favorites is not good to me.

Another thing too when I said some live action movies are not as good as the cartoons they are based on I did not like the Garfield movies because they were not as good as the cartoons. I also admit that if I grew up loving the Dinobots that's why I loved the Transformers cartoons because I like animals. That's also why I also like Beast Wars. I don't like vehicles. If they put the Dinobots in the next movie planed for 2012 maybe I might think about liking all three. But not at thise time.
