  • rory still is god no ones matched his talent since he died

  • We all know how Rory died - let's celebrate him--and not dwell on how we lost him !! I think he'd want it that way !

  • "Ladies and Gentlemen......he he.....RORY GALLAGHER!!!!"

  • Nobody has said he used drugs they have said he had a great respect for doctors so the combination of taking PRESCRIBED medicine from doctors and drinking on top of that ruined his liver they didn't know the mixture of them back then was lethal.

  • Dear Uberhandle!

I saw Rory all the times,he was here in DK:He was a honest musician. But,like many others to hard to him selve, with alcohol:This killed him! But he NEVER used any drugs!

  • the girl at 1:03 looked pretty hot

  • @1m2a3t4t5 yeah - i think you see her again for a second or two during ten years after's set.

  • @originaltbyrd

Yeah, reason for pointing it out is normally hippie girls were very ugly

  • Dear Uberhandle,

You are an ignorant cunt, clearly you have no clue what your talking about, spewing random nonsense about drugs and prostitution. Get grip on yourself you're here on a video of a performer and music genre you stated you have no interest in yet bash away with statements that hold no real substance.

  • I meant "De Wolff"

A cover of Apple Knockers flophouse (Cuby and the Blizzards)

    Try them

  • Is there footage of the entire performance by Taste at Isle of Wight?! I'd love to watch the whole thing

  • Wow!!This is righteous!!wish I was there!! I'm from Canada so I missed out on this one --thanks for the clip!!

  • I sing!!!

  • i love the matching guitar and bass haha

  • To "Uberhandle" I am not a pimp, a prostitute, a druggie , or a whore and I have loved the blues for many years. If you're going to post something go ahead--you are doing all blues artists a great disservice when you do. I have a solution ! If you don't like a particular genre of music noboby asked you to watch and listen- you did that out of your own free will just so you can post all these negative messages. Keep your narrow mind out of this forum until you've something positive to say.

  • If a certain lady who is now a grandmother's grandkids find this then granny's going to have some explaining to do !

  • Blues musicians are all on something or trying to get off something or between addictions. The worse drama queens I've ever seen. Wallowing and wallowing.

  • Dear uberhandle, If you don't like the blues or Rory why did you watch this. Do you think people really care about your pompous posturing? Let go of your mouse, pull your pants up and go get a life.

  • WoW

This mans Unmatchable. Love his rough solefull bluesy voice!

This man Knows what Blues is about

    Playing from your heart

I love how he can sing the slide notes with his voice so

    perfectly :O

I believe His Music touchs only those worthy of understanding such greatness

    R.I.P Liam Rory Gallagher

  • Trying so hard to look like some musical genius he's not and the dumb sheep in the audience fall for it because they've dumbed themselves down with drugs and alcohol. Immitator. That's all he is, is a stylistic immitator. He does nothing original.

  • @uberhandle Could you please give me a name of somebody who plays folk or blues that does something original or "new", in your humble opinion?

  • @artloveblues Sorry to be so hard on Rory, but I don't really like blues. Thanks for asking my opinion, I think John Spillane is an original folk musician. I saw an interview with him where he said he started off imitating American music, and then decided it felt fake, so did his own thing. Also I like Christy Moore, Saw Doctors & Paddy Reilly. And some others I like (not folk or blues) Hank Willaims Sr., George Jones, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, ELO, Nirvana, Pepe Romero.

  • @uberhandle You have no clue about music im afraid. All the musicians you mention are imitators. There music is built on old inspiration of the previous generation. I am a fan of all of them but ive never heard anything new or original from any of them. Yes rory based his music on blues but his style is unique. You obviously know nothing about blues. Thats why alot of blues guitarists cite him as an inspiration. And FYI pink floyd asked Rory to play for them, he said no.

  • @rosyface2k Americanized.

  • @rosyface2k You're the one with no clue. These dumb kids think they're some kind of rebels, when in reality they're the biggest conformists. There's a reason why so many end up dead, or still alive but look dead. It's the ultimate adolescent self-mastubatory "art form". Of course it would give rise to ego-gratifying man-children like bono, who will never rise above his self-centerdness. If it's so great, why does everyone do drugs or get drunk to listen to it.

  • @uberhandle Im not interested in any of that shit. I listen to the music. its amazing.

  • @uberhandle

Rory never used drugs, hey always was against it.

you're dumb fool yourself i mean if you see his pictures of when he was 30 he looks like a healthy guy.

But actually i think that Rory wasn't an imitator he did alot of his own thing but coverd also songs but most musicians do that, you pick a song you used to listen or still listening that has a meaning or just appealing to you, then you start covering it.

  • blues is the music of pimps prostitutes druggies alcoholics and whores.

  • very nice boobs

  • yes taste it those days ar fucking gonne

  • lol a certain someone's grandchild is no doubt blushing for her lack of modesty.free love-i was born in the wrong decade :-)

  • Nice hairy fanny, but 40 years on her minge is probably all dry and wrinkled!

  • wasn't he a great showman?

  • ...and they all chanted, "we want what the guy @ the1:21 mark is having." Same thing they gave the naked chick.

  • Yes very cool. The music industry has not changed much. Even The Beatles were over-produced in those days, and the Monkees were over-promoted. Taste were almost un-known outside of Ireland.

  • His voice matches the tone of his guitar perfectly.

  • look! it's Postman Pat on the drums!

  • @hydraIX - You are so right, if we could only do that, and also have the mentality of yesterday caring about the human race.

  • @hydraIX Hear hear! Right wid ya brudder! Vive la Revolucion la Musica!

  • @hydraIX

I think TheWolff is doing a good job too. They are dutch. Using 60-70's equipment, a hammond organ among others and Marshall amps. the play Rock and blues

  • what with a pick?

  • yup,and so far down by the bridge.

  • to toecutter

juste you make me smile c'est un beau compliment pour Rory

  • quoi? I love rory.

  • to toecutter

yes , i know and i love Rory also

i like your humour when you say "i hate when people play it that way" sorry i am french

  • Now that Bush is out we americans can work on our friendship with the french again.

  • Someone who loves a Rory is nice for me

    best thoughts from Paris

  • Oh yeah always forget Richard McCracken and John Wilson are fantastic and by far the best bassist and drummer Rory ever played with!

  • Come on now! Better than Gerry and Rod?

  • If that's asking me yeah better by far than them two I prefered Rory when he was with Taste anyway and I like John Wilson's style of drumming a bit of jazz influenze there I think, and as for Richard McCracken I'd rate him along side Jack Bruce, fantastic bass player.

So there you are that's my opinion.

  • idk man i think jack bruces work on john mclaughlin's album electric guitarist and with tony williams in the tony williams lifetime is a little beyond this guy

  • Wish I could see a video of 'Live Taste' (Live at the Montreau Casino) for me the definitive versions of Catffish, Sugar Mamma, Feel so good, Gambling blues, and Same old story. but this 'Live at the Isle of White' comes a close second.

  • anyone knows if there is a video of "i feel so good"?? i`ve benn searching for so long.

  • lol what the hell happenned there they just pulled a naked woman out of the crowd she looked fucked out of her head

  • LSD... And well you know the person who did that were body guards, and she was on the stage, so called disturbing multiple people including the band members...

  • I was fortunate to see Taste six times, best live band ever!!better in small venues. 100 stars!

  • Envy! We are starving for Taste videos. Didn't you or your company shoot 8mm at venues?

  • they were the best thing at this festival

  • short but sweet

  • Yeah I loved Taste.

  • The best! - Taste were a phenomenal band

  • I know there was a lot of bad feeling about the Taste break up- any one know what that was about

  • apparently unbeknownst to Rory, the money was not being split up equally.

  • The money wasn't being split up at all, the manager kept it! The others didn't believe it, but they found out the truth years later.

  • Go on Rory! Jesus That man could play the blues.

  • Fantastic video, loving the hippies.
