Do u have to restore your iPhone before starting pwnagetool and doing the steps. Also when u were at the part when DFU was finish and that u had to close pwnagetool, iTunes didnot recognize my iPhone.

Hey,

You don't have to but it may be better if you do a straight forward upgrade to 2.2.1. When you do a straight forward upgrade you can't unlock your iPhone 3G, remember! I never upgrade my devices before I do the jailbreak. If iTunes does not recognize your device then I would unplug your lead and then plug it back in.

hey i used the 10.5.6 mac update i think and i jail broke into my ipod and the two new apps showed up that were installer and cydia and i was just wondering if you could make a video on how to use installer or explain what you do after it is jail broken because to be honest i have no clue haha thanks

You have to scrool down to the bottom of the page and click "all posts" and then you will find 2.2.1 jailbreak released.

This could be the 10.5.6 mac update. You need to download the bundles from the 10.5.5 update so it will recognize it in DFU. You can find instructions over at the Dev teams blog or a google search.

Thanks for Subscribing. At the moment the Dev-Team have released a tethered jailbreak. Go over to my blog to find out more information. This way was very complicated. Cyw00d created a program that is based on the Dev-Teams tethered jailbreak but it is a lot easier. Check my blog out for more info.

It might be better if you download the Firmware from my website. Its in the description. You have to be using something other than safari because it doesn't recognize the file properly. I recommend Firefox.

Launch iTunes, plug in your iPod then press shift update for windows or alt update for Mac and then pick the firmware that you downloaded from my site.

You have to put your original activated SIM card in otherwise it will come up with that message aka No Service.

Thanks for subscribing I really appreciate it. Yes you are right. DFU mode is not recognized on the new macs and 10.5.6 or above. You will have to use another computer or change the files on your computer to make it work.
