Look at the first line..How can it be a rest of 4seconds when it's written in 6/8?

First of all, its not "rest of 4seconds", it's called a WHOLE REST. If you have ever taken theory, you would know the whole rest can also be used to rest for the whole bar that does not necessarily have to be 4/4.
