ECU mod?), but that's a last generation TT. The 1.8t is much slower than the newer 2.0tfsi, especially due to its lack of lower end torque in comparison to Audi's newer 2.0. If you're gonna pull out "facts", at least know a thing or two about you're fact checking.

I used to own a 850 T5, reliable, spacius and fast but I missed the comfort and charakter of a Citroën. The Volvo is good, I wont deny that, but it´s still just a boring family car with a powerfull engine. I had more fun in my 55 hp GS.
But still I would pick any Volvo over a TT every day, the TT is a gay Golf coupe with four zeros in the grille and one behind the wheel.
Both the 850 T5 and the V70 T5 are beasts. And the fact that they can outrace so many sport-cars is funny indeed. I Used to have a S40 T4 and i loved it. felt like a large go-cart. But the S40 isn't nearly as solid and robust as those two T5's. Also those two cars are family-cars. Even tho the engine is upgraded to full compression turbos it still carries the same heavy weight as a normal family-car. The V70 might have better exhaust-flow on the T5 model.

@krizzzzi i just took the liberty of doing some research about this volvo v70 T5, and it seems it accelerates 0-60 mph or 0-100 km/h in 7,1 seconds.. hahaXD thats slower than any tt of the new models:d the 2,0 tfsi tt does it in 6,1 seconds, which is already a second faster:d the tts does it in 5,6 seconds, and the tt-rs in 4,3 seconds.. and the old tt's are already equally fast as this volvo, so the tt here has sucky driver, you got pwned, poor people with your ugly slow cars,, u mad bro?
From the looks of it, this was a 180hp FWD TT. I'm not surprised that this was the end result given those circumstances. If it were a 225 and had software, the race would have gone much differently.

Hmmm mate try outrun a Audi R8 V10, thats a stock VAG product, Volvo V70 T5 is a nice and fast car but you dont have to brag about like a teenager, and a TT is a very nice object for tuning aswell, put a k04s turbo on it other software and have 300+ hp. and more HP is possible.
And 260hp out a 1.8 turbo is very nice with only a chip, Volvo T5 is standard 2.3 turbo so 500cc more.

Audi TT 1.8T =180 hp 170tq 3300lbs

I may drive a family car, but it's a family that rapes the shit out of almost any stock VAG product. I remember when I was 14 and thought Audi's were cool too, though. It's okay. You just need time to learn.

Epic. You VAG guys barley squeeze 260 HP with chipping a 1.8t. This car has 240 HP stock, and you can see what that does to a stock TT. I think you guys should be more concerned with being able to outrun a V6 Mustang, hahaha

Hmmm mate try outrun a Audi R8 V10, thats a stock VAG product, Volvo V70 T5 is a nice and fast car but you dont have to brag about like a teenager, and a TT is a very nice object for tuning aswell, put a k04s turbo on it other software and have 300+ hp. and more HP is possible.
And 260hp out a 1.8 turbo is very nice with only a chip, Volvo T5 is standard 2.3 turbo so 500cc more.
