  • BAD CONDITION PRINT GREAT EPISODE!!!!!!!!

  • roflmao, anyone else though that venger was getting the beating of his life when the hall was flashing and on fire? (within this hall Venger, our powers are supreme)

  • Do I hear the sound of Megatron's fusion cannon as Venger fires an energy/magic blast at the ghosts? Could be wrong, though, and the sound itself probably existed before Transformers (maybe it was one of the ones that show took from Star Wars, I don't know).

  • them bones

  • My favorite is when eric becomes dungeon master. He was really good at it.

  • waaaaahhh! it reminds me of my childhood!

  • wow... i remembered this!

  • ahhh... good old D&D... how I miss it!

  • Anyone know who does the voice of Hector the Halfling?

  • @CaptainJeanLPicard

Thats Frank Welker if I ever heard him. Its the voice of Starcream with more childish twang.

  • @SpeakerForBoskone

    Thanks

  • Venger got dekcuf :D

  • I used to love this cartoon, we watched it in England.

  • did they ever get back to Earth?

  • why don't you read it up for yourself over the internet? the last chapter's script is there somewhere, I don't want to spoil it up for you.

I just wanna say this: don't believe the rumors that the kids really died on the rollercoaster... oops perhaps I just said too much.. anyway, the last chapter subtitle is called "Requiem"

  • please spoil it. did they ever get back?

  • @tetraedronico Aha! 'Tis here....on my channel :)

  • this was a show of good people.look how Diana's character was a strong woman without any pity or special treatment. This is conservatives perspective as opposed to the liberals. this show taught to be creative and honest.

  • I never thought of it that way before. Diana was treated as an equal and was as strong as any of them due to her own ability, not special treatment. Good point.

  • @nVei06 Come on. This show has nothing to do with politics whatsoever. Knock it off.

  • lazer spear lol

what happened to good old sword fighting why do the spears shoot lazers

  • "what happened to good old sword fighting why do the spears shoot lazers"

Its the ole "the dead ghost guy always has the best magic weapon." Play the real D&D and you'll be loaded with magic after one dungeon.

  • That's what I hated about D&D. You're so packed with magic and weapons you don't know what to use and you keep calculating damage, resistance, blah blah blah. In Warhammer you rarely even had a GOOD sword, let alone a magic one. And most weapons did similar damage so it was all about role playing and not counting. Fuck, people had excel sheets for D&D adventures!

  • @Hotora86 Depends on who was playing and who was running the game. Part of the challenge of the DM was to tell the story. In any good story, much like any good TV series, you give everyone a role. Thus as a good DM, you had to find ways to make everyone memorable, from players characters, to henchmen, to NPCs.

  • Any good story would drown in rules, calculations and dices unless the DM would first exclaim "Fuck this shit, let's actually ROLE PLAY!"

  • @Hotora86 Not anymore, with the advent of virtual tabletops. All of the calculations are taken care of automatically, freeing the players to fully immerse and role play.

  • ... making it a chat-box based computer game instead of a real tabletop with real interactions between people.

  • No, not a chat-box -- I use a VTT at the real table top. It manages all the game mechanic stuff so that people don't have to think in terms of numbers and calculations, and are totally freed up to role play. I also run a VTT game remotely once a week, and we all communicate over skype. No real tabletop there, but certainly real interactions. I'd love to show you a demo, or you could sit in on my next session if you'd like. I promise I could convince you if you see it.

  • @SpeakerForBoskone If you're playing Forgotten Realms, than yes. Every 2nd level fighter has a Vorpal Sword +3.

  • where is the knight in this cartoon?! where is the mage ?!

  • The "knight" was represented by the Cavalier, the guy with the yellow shield, and the "mage" was the magician in the green robes. They made one character of every class as they could, not counting all the nickel and dime sub-classes like "illusionist."

  • i know, but id like some real guys, not a bunch of stupid kids for gods sacks

  • Comment removed

  • uh...they did

  • God this is the episode I remember more than any other from the late '80s and early '90's. Love 'em all though.......

  • only the american dvd release of these cartoons has the music changed, the box set released in england is identical to the original releases with all the original music

  • The new music misses all the emotional cues. Its almost like a brand new show, and is worse off. Fortuately, I taped all the eps off TV with the original music.

  • Is the British box set available online?

  • I don;t like anime either, but remmember even though it has an american animation look, the series was done overseas just like almost all animated series, then and now...

  • i was just gonna ask if peter culen voiced venger... then i read the "more info" bit...

  • Ghosts: "OOOOeeeoeoooooeeeeeoeoeooeeee!"

    Scary.

  • Venger reminds me of my bank.

  • "So you're the guy wanting payment!"

Venger, "Indeed. And my payment is due NOW!"

Sounds a bit like my bank as well...

  • wow the DMPCs really stole that show

  • No... no that didn't answer my question at all!

  • I wish it was more violent like the game

  • theres a game?

  • I hope you're kidding. D&D is a board game invented in 1971 and still played to this day.

  • Hot!

  • yo, if my DM pulled the kind of shit on me that dungeon master does on these guys, id kick his ass :P

  • This cartoon would have been better if they had developed this for an adult audience.

  • damn that too much kiddy ...

  • Did these kids ever get home and stay home?

I saw a few programs where they got home but had to go back to D&D land for some reason or another

  • They never made an ep where they got permanently home, just like Quantum Leap, Land of Lost, etc etc. They DID however, write a script for it, which was never produced. The script is on the DVD release (and the writers private website) and it would have been one of the best, with Venger finally being taken down.

  • Thanks for that. Shame, but with better animation available somone should think about doing this "lost"episode, may be a feature lenght version

    Thanks

    Simon

  • Since the script came out, a couple different groups of fans have been working on making it themselves. One of them was going to make it live action, another was jsut going to animate it. So far, the closest is whats on the DVD, where a bunch of voice actors performed the script like a radio show. Ok, but I hoping for the animated one. They are going SLOW.

  • They need to look lively and shake a leg!!! LOL

  • Yes, there was a final episode written and recorded, where they do get home, but the animated was never done for it. You can hear the soundtrack of that final episode if you buy the DVD. Or, if you go to Wikipedia, there is a link to the writer's site, where you can read what happens in that final episode. It's pretty good.

  • Lovely stuff, thanks matey

  • there was in fact an episode were they got home, sadly though it was never proudeced roumer was that it was a continue of morning of the dungeon master i think were the ultimate evil was realsed onto the world forcing venger DM and the kids to work together to stop it and tiamat and venger tiamat and the evil was destroyed

  • There is a script on the DVD for the final ep, but that wasnt it. It didnt have Tiamat or the Ultimate Evil Dude, rather just Venger. He challenges the kids to complete a quest without DMs help. In the process the kids find the tomb where Venger imprisoned his "goodness," and they release it, turning Venger back into the good guy DM said he once was.

  • ah...weak :(

they pyar biged it up for a huge battle with tiamat vs the ultiamte evil vs venger the kids and the dm

    and just dropped it

    propper weak

  • yup

  • You sure they got home? I know theres one when they had the opportunity and they didn't make it or it was the work of vengor or something...Thats the closest I ever seen them to getting home..It's on here somewhere on you tube

  • they never got home there was a very were they got close, there was one episode i really wish i could remember the title. their sent into a tower to collect a box, a box which DM says they cant open...but eric dose anyone unleashing the ultimate evil and DM has all his powers drained and has to go to some cave or something right at the end DM convices Venger to fight along side with

  • They had the chance to get home in about 6-7 eps, one time making it back but having to return. The never-made final ep (on the DVD) shows them in front of one last magic door to get home, but apparently passing it up to help the Realm. Which in that ep was a lot easier since Venger was redeemed.

  • they did the way home way too often and cheapened the series, they should have had a way home laid out, and stopped teasing the veiwers, and the kids with a possible way home, just to loose it, or refuse it to help ppl of the realm...

  • I still can't believe Venger was the same bloke that did Optimus Prime...

  • that's the same ghostly wailing from disney's 'darby ogill and the little people' when the banshee shows up.

  • I grabbed it the moment I saw it. Yeah it short of sucked that they didn't get the original voices for the last unmade ep. it's too bad we can't download some of the fan made vids. the music and footage on a lot of them are just perfect.

  • it was almost painful to listen to the voices in the unfinushed episode, 'requiem' the whole thing about the realtionship between gungeon master and vengar was too simple to wrap up, i wonder if that was how it was written back in the day? oh well...

  • yeah I have to say that Venger and DM. had a very compleax relationship. it should be given it's own manga or something. That would be a good way to get the back historty. but like the one guy said they had done it as a way to move it into a diffrent direction if they got picked back up. sigh. maybe if we write viz about a manga.

  • manga? wtf? keep that japanese shit ouutta this great american toon. Only the animation was done by japanese....

  • bah. bite me. mangas rule.

  • you can bite me i would rather watch these old shows then almost naythging on the air these days, or read marvel comics over mangas, manga are overrated, in my eyes...

  • no I'll pass on that. you don't look very tasty. never said marvel wasn't good. just saying I like mangas. and for the record I have the D&D on dvd.

  • heh, i am just saying, mangas are overrated, i only own one, and that's cause it's a warcraft manga that was part of a trilogy, i didn't get the other 2, yet, but i generally stick with american comics over japanese ones

  • This was animated by Japanese!!

  • The DVD set has been release>>? OMG I'm so getting this tomorrow!!!! One of my top 5 favorite cartoons ever! I love the show amusement park opening and the zombie episode was the finest!

  • Zombie Episode--- Trying to think of which one you mean. They find some zombies in an abandoned shack in a swamp one time, they encounter a Skeleton Warrior (with the powers of a Death Knight) in another. But hell, almost ALL of them are outstanding!

  • Yes the abandond shack! I believe the episode is called "The prison with out walls." I bought the DVD set. Excellent stuff!!! So it seems there weren't too many episodes as it appears all of them are on the DVD set.

  • I wanted to rent it first, just to see how they did the unfilmed episode (OK I guess, best they could do without the original actors). But I am disappointed with the new music. I have all the eps on tape, and the orginal music was tailored for each episodes climatic cues. The DVD is just the theme song played over and over. It almost ruins Dragons Graveyard.

  • did you tape them off tv all those years ago? or was it store bought? either way i would like to know if i can get a copy? to see hear the differences between them

  • i bought the dvd collection, forget renting it there was no question in my mind i had to have it...
