Eu conheço pessoalmente o Joey Molland, ultimo sobrevivente da banda e ele ficou muito emocionado com a demonstração de carinho dos fãs brasileiros quando esteve aqui em seu aniversário em junho de 2008 no Ibirapuera. Badfinger was one of my favorites , too. As a young teenager in the 60's and 20's in the 70's, us older guys can remember several sad stories. There was an unbelievable amount of bands out then. One of the other huge tragedies was Terry Kath, guitarist and singer and the "SOUL" of the band Chicago shot himself in the head playing russian roulette. Hendrix said he was the best guitarist he had ever seen live. Many other sad stories, Badfinger was the worst(2 singer-songwriters)dead.

Many other genius of Rock and Roll music discontinued their wonderful careers with 27 years old, unfortunately, but Badfinger´s tragedy was beyond of imagination . Bandaquartzo, first i must say, i couldn't agree more, Pete Ham had great vocals, people say he sounded much like Mccartney, i don't think so, Pete had a thicker, more bluesy quality to his but like Mccartney he could sing ballads and rockers equally well. BTW, Baby Blue is one of my all-time favorites, i'm convinced that if Pete also sang the hook (the entire song) on "Without You" this would have been another gigantic hit for Badfinger instead of for Harry Nilsson.

You know It´s not easy to play Baby Blue live using only a drum, a bass and one guitar , so I use to say "Badfinger songs are very special, not an ordinary songs ". Oh my God! you guys really rock, I've never heard a better cover of this song..I like it better than the original but it's so close..amazing. Great drumming, singing,,real fine! bass playing, and your lead player..he was under a lot of pressure to pull that lead off so good. Keep together please, Write some good originals or find someone to write some for you...Just an amazing show! I started my first band in 1968 and have been in many since..but never as good as you guys! KEEP GOING!!

I also miss Pete everyday!! Maybe one of these days Ill post a song again. I am having some issues with my voice and it makes it very tough for me emotionally. In the past I have had two surgeries on my vocal chords and sometimes I just can't sing. I am going to start re-training my voice with scales hopefully it will come back to me.
