• Western democracies are not only wasting their taxpayers’ money supporting the terrorists like the Dalai Lama, but also making their people vulnerable to these dangerous organizations.
The allegations that the head of Canberra's Tibetan Buddhist community Lama Choedak had sexual relationships with several female students emerged late 2010. And the women received stern warnings from senior foreign figures in the Tibetan Buddhist movement against them going public. Canberra Times 1/5/11
Falungong's alleged belief in Truth, Compassion and Tolerance is totally false.
-
Its news is full of lies even deliberately misinterpret their 'witness's account.
-
It advocates idol worshipping and prohibit followers from seeking second opinion, is that a compassionate way to treat your followers?
-
It had done everything they can to spread lies to smear Chinese government, and there is nothing on their part to see any tolerance if any of their accusations are true.
Free Tibet terrorists burned and killed, and committd crimes against humanity for the past 50 years. Who is responsible for these crimes? Dalai Lama is responsible for these crimes against humanist alone.
What China did in Tibet was no different from what Abraham Lincoln did for America, only more peaceful. Slavery in Tibet before Communist liberation was nothing humane. It was in fact the most cruel violation of human rights in all measure. Now truth of Tibet is becoming more and more known to the west, no wonder the west media is panicking.
Remember the Australian tourist Mike Smith who escaped the violent riot in March as reported widely in the west? If you look into Mike Smiths full interview, you will find him an obvious Free Tibet activitiest So why did the west media call him a tourist and conveniently omitted his close connection with Free Tibet?
Because had the west be truthful about this mans true identity, then it would become apparent that:
1.Free Tibet knew about this violent riot all along, and they even sent their people before hand to film it;
2.Even with all these careful planning ahead, even a hard-core Free Tibet activist like Mike Smith had failed to capture any reliable evidence for the so called Chinas brutal crack down on rioters.

Tibet will not become an independent country, not with political pressure, not with media distortion, not with terrorist attack! I pray for Dalais soul for he had sinned of bringing hatred to peaceful minds with his evil lies
Under the Dalai regime, over 90% of Tibetan serf lived in terror of being tortured and killed by their masters at will. Had the Dalai Lama be a benevolent rule as you had claimed, why would he be hiding in India, while his people suffering from genocide from the British in the 1800s. What a coward!
Chinese communist party has been a benevolent ruler all along. They gave Tibetans equality and dignity, and that is the reason the former privileged class in Tibet had fled, and until now shout the slogan of Free Tibet. Under the Chinese rule, Tibetan population had grown from 1.3 million to 5.4 million; and average lifespan had grown from 34 to over 60. So where is the Chinese genocide?
With the blessings of globalisation, people have access to more and more truth despite the continuous brainwash tactics by the west propaganda. Tibetan Buddhist monks are marching on the streets of London, Geneva, and NY to protest against Lalais religious dictatorship. Millions of overseas Chinese, along with their western supporters volunteered to protect the Olympic frame from Free Tibet disruptions. In the west, the media coverage of these events was minimal, if not non-existent.
The west hegemonic regime is suffering and will continue to suffer from its own wrong-doings of lying to ignite hatred against a virtuous China, and not ruling honestly or responsibly to give its own people the real freedom.
No religious Monks should behave like Criminals and have violent-minded followers. The Tibetan buddhist teachings are really questionable. What did BUDDHA, the founder of Buddhism taught? What have the Tibetans learnt? I don't think Richard Gere learn much from them.
in EVERY video that he makes comments in. He is a chronic spammer, THE worst on youtube. Why should anyone waste time figuring out which of his comments are repeats or not. Just pathetic.
The Free Tibet recruited homeless people for 60 pounds per head to support Free Tibet at the London Torch Relay. ChinaKillsNuns, how much did you get paid to smear China on youtube? :)

why nobody talk about "free iraq" anyone wanna watch this!!YOU WON'T LIKE IT. this UK CHANNEL 5's programme: TYPE "UK Hypocrisy Towards Chinese People" in youtube
The only people who can afford not buying Made-in-China are people who got rich by suck up to China, even Tibetan activists outsourced their flag-making to China, haha, irony is not without its sense of humor isn't it?
If those monks didn't say that the west wanted to hear, the whole "disruption" would be called a planned propaganda move, or maybe it still is, Chinese media reported it afterall, haha.
No one should have sympathy for Han Chinese for all the national disasters as they them self have no sympathy for Tibetans. Hope Beijing disappears from the face of earth due to all the lies and atrocities they have committed on others.
I agree, you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts! The treatment of the Tibetans by the Chinese is deplorable. The eyes of the world are watching! Down with the CCP! Their day is done!
Proof of Daliar Lama has no rights to speak about religious freedom and human rights: he has committed murders, assassinations, and genocide against another sect of followers of Tibetan Buddhism: Dorje Shugden. A Swiss documentary film interviewed some of the followers. Please go to see it on YouTube titled: Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden.
Two things prove, beyond a shadow of doubt, that Tibet is NOT a part of China
1. The Great Wall of China clearly demarcates the border between Tibet and China
2. The Tibet-China treaty of 821 A.D., inscribed on the stone pillar at Jokhang temple, Lhasa, which shows that China had a non-aggression treaty with Tibet in 821 A.D., meaning that Tibet is a FOREIGN LAND and NOT AN INTERNAL MATTER of China, like China claims. It's purely a military occupation by Chinese army of a FOREIGN LAND
For those who don't want to acknowledge Daliar Lama is politician, the head of his "State"? -- this will absolutely piss off the overseas Tibetans! What do you think about the Ayatollah of Iran? Even better -- having him and Daliar Lama get together to plan for the future of the world. Why not? They are both the only two medieval feudalistic nutcases in the world that are religious leaders for their people as well as the heads of their states.
Jamuqa: HAHAHA!!! I LOVE the way you tried to obscure the matter by making references to the Ayatollah. Sooooo ridiculous. You completely avoided my question. So I will say it again. Perhaps you didn't see it: CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE WITH US THE EVIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR CLAIMS? I'm not talking about spewing hatefilled crap as you did above. I'm talking about facts. Please do share those with us. Otherwise, keep your ignorant comments to yourself! Analytical thinker?? LOL In your dreams
1)If I recall correctly, the Dalai Lama has already offered to not seek any political position in Tibet if a negotiated settlement was reached that resulted in genuine autonomy. nice try though.
2)The Tibetan government in exile has modified and adapted, evolving into a representative government.
To Ariell: once again, I am independent and analytical thinker, not a mindless follower, not a product of anyone's propaganda. I draw my conclusion from multiple sources and think it through myself. You made a choice NOT to be analytical and independent. That's why you cornered yourself to where your are right now: the product of Daliar Lama's propaganda.
To Ariell: so everything "negative" said about Daliar Lama and his most successful political campaign in human history has to be "propaganda". Well then you just put yourself together with ALL of ones who are ALSO brainwashed by propaganda. The bottom line is: I am independent and analytical thinker. You are just one sad one-tone mouth piece for Daliar Lama and the product of his propaganda.
ForJamqua: since you are so knowledgeable, then please, do share with us the evidence of the Dalai Lama's involvement. What facts do you have?? Wow, you must be SUCH an important person since you have facts that even the Chinese government has!.We all know that the Chinese government has not produced even a SINGLE piece of evidence of their claims. They just make themselves look more and more ridiculous in the world's eyes each time they spew their same timeworn hateful lies.
"A document released Wed. by Beijing purportedly proving that the unrest was "organized, premeditated, masterminded and instigated by the Dalai clique" amounts to little more than a schedule of international meetings by foreign Tibet activists -what would pass for normal political activity in most countries. The next day, Xiao Youcai, an official of TAR, said evidence of the Dalai Lama's involvement "will be produced in due time." Yeah right. In other words there IS no evidence. Just Chinese lies
On April 8-9, the U.S. House of Representatives debated & overwhelmingly passed House Resolution 1077 calling on China to end its crackdown in Tibet and to enter into a dialogue with the Dalai Lama. The members addressed the ongoing repression against the Tibetan people, blasted the unfounded accusations that the Dalai Lama instigated the violence, & called for independent investigations into these allegations. They said China's brutality violates its commitments as host of the Olympics.
ro1t mentioned 'Founding principal'? *sigh* Was he talking about 'Olympic charter'? Why can't he call it like it is... 'Olympic Charter'? Why Chinese doesn't want to bring up a word of 'Charter' because it just may corner him into a topic of 'Atlantic Charter'... founding treaties of the U.N.-thing call unversal declaration of human rights that Chinese goverment and he hate so much. A one sorry country China is.
LOL the dumb ass BBC!!! Don't they ask themselves that the shear fact those monks are in their robs and allowed to worship in MANY temples the central government has budgeted every year to support is an astounding statement and support for their religious freedom! The fact that the crowd of monks was openly speaking is an astounding statement of free speech! If there was ANY apparent and TRUE fear of any retaliation, you might see one or two brave ones, but NOT a crowd to speak and complain.
ForJamuqua: oh really. How about the fact that its illegal to own a photo of the Dalai Lama? Is that religious freedom? Or the fact that monks are forced to denounce the Dalai Lama? Is that religious freedom? Or the fact that 6000 monasteries were destroyed by Chinese & the monks tortured or imprisoned? How about the fact that THESE monks risked their lives to speak out (a fact who fail to understand)? Or the fact that they were locked in the monastery since Mar. 14. That's religious freedom??!!
Get this: Daliar Lama is MORE of a politician in a monk's robe than anything else. His "Freedom Fighters", some of the monks are no longer regarded as religious clergy men but criminals once they raise weapon and commit violence and killings against other human beings. Law and order must be maintained in any civilized cities, why Lhasa should be different? Practicing Buddhism IS promoted and supported all over China nowadays. Supporting Daliar Lama is a political movement, not religious practice
ForJamqua: That's absolutely ridiculous. Just recently there were 2 monks arrested for owning a photo of the Dalai Lama. AND as I said, monks are being forced to denounce the Dalai Lama, their spriitual leader, or face persecution. You call that religious freedom???? Your claims that the Dalai Lama is a 'politician' masterminding the Tibetan riots is silly, ludicrous and baseless propaganda fed to you by the CCP.
In 1959, Anna Louise Strong visited an exhibition of torture equipment that had been used by the Tibetan overlords. There were handcuffs of all sizes, including small ones for children, and instruments for cutting off noses and ears, gouging out eyes, breaking off hands, and hamstringing legs (Origin from michaelparenti org.tibet
From a 208page report in 1959 by the International Commission of Jurists"There is prima facie evidence that the Chinese Communists have by acts of genocide attempted to destroy the Tibetan nation & the Buddhist religion in Tibet...the Chinese have by killing Tibetans & by the forcible removal of Tibetan children committed acts contrary to the Genocide Convention of 1948.There is also evidence that these acts were intentionally directed towards the destruction of the Tibetan religion& ...nation"
ariell : Yes, there are numerous reports on 89 Tinanman Incident in Beijing, not just on 1959. But, nowaday, it is not the story, there is internet explorer. Propaganda from USA, China and everywhere. Unfortunately, we got digital videos now and there were no videos in 1959. Journalists could write as much as they like.
tamy: stop being so naive. the report i quoted is not from "journalists" but an international panel of over 60 legal experts that conducted a detailed review of the situation in Tibet.
tamy: I suggest you read the article "Former Chinese Reporter Reveals CCP's Far Reaching Propaganda" by Fan Huiqiang to have a better understanding of CCP propaganda
All these media storms and political fanfares, with extremely high coordination and energy output (financial, mobility, political) serve the purpose of preemptively dominate the "interpretation" of the success and failure of the Beijing Olympics, as it is viewed as the stage for China to "coming out" and taking the status of superpower. By taking control of the interpretation, the West can re-interpretate the agenda of the Games to their liking.
i am tired of both pro-Tibet media and Chinese government
Dalai Lama did NOT want independence, and he had been as moderate as possible. He even support the Beijing olympic game. Why the West just keep adding oil on fire by "boycotting the Olympic game" when those monks started rebelling?
Thess monks are bullshit, and Forgein media is like fly kind, which try to get close to them and try to turn the wrong to be right.
ridiculous, no matter what you guys said, no matter what lies you are going to make in the future, I have to tell you, wrong can never turn to right, no matter how many affect u do. In the problem of tibet, only one country peaple who know the truth, only one goverment can make the choise:
BECAUSE, TIBET IS PART OF CHINA! i understand your point, but when one say CHINESE, it means the 56 ethnic groups in China!
ps. no one could be sure who's 100% Han Chinese. many westerners told me that they thought I was Tibetan, I could only say, I don't think I'm Tibetan, at least not 100%. But we are all Chinese anyway!
i suppose u have done some research over the Tibet history and u should know it's not as simple as China invaded Tibet 50 years ago, well, first time China invade Tibet in the 13th century, and Tibet formally became part of China in 17th century, and then the whole China were invaded by many western powers.the qing empire collapsed in 1910s. later we had civil war..basically we were just in a mess to fight..but Tibet had never been legally independent!
Tibet was and is part of China..however, no one knows how the future will be...
I acknowledge the percived threat Tibetans feel to their culture, heritage and history due to increased Han migration to Tibet in recent years. but i wish u could understand that the Tibet issues are multi-dimensional.and as a matter of fact, the majority of Tibetans who actually lives in Tibet do not want to be independent! if u really care about Tibetan people then try to contact with them and ask their opinions!
I am always curious ... if Chinese government is really that bad and brutal, how come there are so many monks can still speak out? There must be a good calculation on what they will say and what they expect to get from the government, right?
They spoke out and that was good. But that alone indicates the Chinese government is not as bad as the Western Media try to portait as a brutal state.
China is more like heavy handed than brutal state.
This shit wouldn't happen, if the chines get the fuck out of Tibet. Tibet is belong to tibetan. China out of Lhasa. Over 10000000 tibetan, monks, & nuns has been killed by chines army for the past 50 years. No more, No more. please support human right in tibet.

This cannot be stopped by the olympic committee or by governments.A boycott of the games by governments would not help. The athletes themselves need to step forward in protest. refuseing to go or going and refuse to compete.Better still Win and refuse the medal! what a hero. This will teach china freedom. pass this idea to any athlete you know.
This is not a new idea. Most athlete know this "good" idea, but they still will go to Beijing Olympic Games. Why? Because they know this idea is wrong! They can make their decision by themselves. You don't need to teach them.
dont be too sure. for all you know, considering the overwheming support that the tibetan movement is gathering from every corner of the world, there may be no olympics this summer. the chinese should now prepare a plan for honorable exit. long live tibet.
BBC,CNN,SKY....Those reporters stayed in Tibet for several days, but why all of them only show this 2min video clip!? Who is controlling the media? I want to see more reports, more videos from Tibet.
The truth is there are 46,000 monks in Tibet. Here we see 30 of those complaining. People should know there are very intense religious sects competition in Tibet. Why they're crying? May be they're bullied by other monks from other sects. LOL. Dalai can not go back to Tibet because other big monks do not want him to come back at all. Don't blame it on the Chinese government. Things are more complicated than most people think.
Why would the west care for the Tibetans? Do they have a large Buddhist community lobbying for Tibet? Can the Tibetans pay up good money deals? Can they find Oil in Tibet? When Chinese president Hu went to Germany & France to discuss big business deals, they roughed up Tibetan demonstrators. Only CIA got India to provide help to the Tibetans when they wanted used them to keep China on the toes. Not now any more. Money talks...
any one pick up the funny words said by one of the monks? he said "we didn't smash and attack, they seduced us to do so" sounds like "we didn't rob the bank, the bank seduced us to do so" hilarious monks
Chinese killed 8 monk terrorists with automatic weapon, that's small potato, so pitifull and childplay, in Iraq we USA, with suprior power and advanced weapons, uses cluster bombs that usually kill at least 500 at a time, much efficient and effective.
China and NKorea are same repressive countries, but the real sad story is that the western corporates gave market, factory and orders to PRC to make them rich and make their repression more ruthless and efficient, cheap goods for the West and more arms and money for PRC regime.
azatixindi: Who makes who become rich? Why more and more westerns want to do business with China? Use your brain, please!! You think westerns are all Jesu? They just come to help Chinese??
If have access to the full coverage: One monk cried and said that they had been locked up in the temple for 17 days (from March 11 to now).
Another excited monk said that more than 100 Tibetans have been killed in Lhasa recently and more than 1,000 Tibetans have been arrested. He emphasized that they had personally seen the bodies of the dead Tibetans.
Let's look at what is happening in the last 10 months leading to this point:
1) pin human rights on China ... failed ... the country gets better and better. And with USA invading Iraq and killing over 90K people as result, China doesn't look bad at all.
2) Alright, let's blame China for Darfuer ... fail ... it doesn't get pass the throught that Darfur and all those tragegies in Africa were the Western countries making
3) pin Tibet on China, Suceeded! Let's jam it and blame China!!!
only a dumb fuck like you would believe that. THE ONLY reason US is in Iraq is for the OIL. OIL IS YOUR MASTER. Don't fuckin tell all this shit about nukes and human rights. It's all bullshit cover for the invasion of Iraq. Everybody knows this already, so no need for me to explain...
They are all liars for their own governments and their own agendas.
Without CIA and constant supports from Western coutnries and their media mouthes, Daila Lama and their 110K exiles are no different from any independent movements groups around the world and with relatively little tragedies to tell. But with CIA and Western countries support, these exiles were sounded like the saddest story in humanity.
Western media is liar, but Chinese are bigger liars, they have no sense of truth and justice, only know how to take other peoples land, call it their own and kill innocent civilians in the name of riot control.
He should not had fled from Tibet 50 years ago. If he was the leader of tibet, he should acted as a sea captain, who never abandon his ship even the ship sinks. What a shame!!!
Dalai Lama, his exile organization, and his adherents cannot make decision over tibet. They have live abroad too long time. Some of them were not born in tibet China. As foreigners, they don't know much about today's tibet at all.
gamioveinto: obviously you need to do some research before talking about things you know nothing about. The reason why the Dalai Lama fled is that the Chinese were plotting to kill him.
Why he fled?Coz PRC's threat.PRC INVADED Tibet. This fact tells us Tibet ISN'T China.Dalai Lama has been & will always b peaceful.PRC ruins the peace process by being so arrogant.Buddhists, stop violence.Just boycott PRC!They are destroying the Sasana.Don't use violence, just don't support PRC.Don't purchase anything made in China, then they'll know how serious we are to clamp down on violence.Namo Buddhaya
Unite asia, fight China, take the fight to them, liberate Greater Tibet, East Turkestan and Inner Mongolia, Chinese out of occupied foreign lands. Next will be Japan, Korea (half gone), Vietnam (spratly taken), Indonesia (full of Chinese), Malaysia (full of Chinese), Burma (controlled by Chinese), India (arunachal taken), Pakistan (gave Ladakh to make Tibet-xinjiang highway), Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, get united and fight for your Tibetan, Mongol and Uighur brothers.

I just read about 8 monks who were shot to death in China. They were with several hundred protesters seeking the release of 2 monks who had been arrested in a monastery where a picture of the Dalai Lama had been discovered by Chinese police.
A picture of the Dalai Lama is unlawful in China?
In America I can have a picture of anyone I want without fear that police will arrest me, or that if my friends come to protest my arrest, they will be shot dead.

One monk cried and said that they had been locked up in the temple for 17 days (from March 11 to now).
Another excited monk said that more than 100 Tibetans have been killed in Lhasa recently and more than 1,000 Tibetans have been arrested. He emphasized that they had personally seen the bodies of the dead Tibetans.

(1)Now you have freedom facing western media, all I heard are "they are liars, don't believe what they said, etc..." Come on boy, say something more substantial, give some facts, show evidences that how Chinese government was killing Tibetan in3.14. But you failed, because you don't. I don't think China is embarrassed
(2)I in fact think many western media are embarrassed; they fail to get what they really want in that 15minutes. For more than 10days now , I haven't see any major report about horrify story of 3.14 riot. Those ordinary people killed in the riot, don't deserve reporting? Only those well-fed (partially by taxpayer's money) monks deserve to report? . I am sick of it!
There is one thing I don't understand. Why there is so many pro-China You Tube users yelling that everything free media tells us about Tibet is a lie? Come on, you should have something better to do than spreading the official Chinese bullshit!

Chinese communist party has been a benevolent ruler all along. They gave Tibetans equality and dignity, and that is the reason the former privileged class in Tibet had fled, and until now shout the slogan of Free Tibet.

It's purely a military occupation by Chinese army of a FOREIGN LAND
arafel1964 3 years ago 2
For those who don't want to acknowledge Daliar Lama is politician, the head of his "State"? -- this will absolutely piss off the overseas Tibetans! What do you think about the Ayatollah of Iran? Even better -- having him and Daliar Lama get together to plan for the future of the world. Why not? They are both the only two medieval feudalistic nutcases in the world that are religious leaders for their people as well as the heads of their states.

You are just one sad one-tone mouth piece for Daliar Lama and the product of his propaganda.

ariell 3 years ago
"A document released Wed. by Beijing purportedly proving that the unrest was "organized, premeditated, masterminded and instigated by the Dalai clique" amounts to little more than a schedule of international meetings by foreign Tibet activists -what would pass for normal political activity in most countries. The next day, Xiao Youcai, an official of TAR, said evidence of the Dalai Lama's involvement "will be produced in due time." Yeah right. In other words there IS no evidence. Just Chinese lies
ariell 3 years ago

A one sorry country China is.

LOL the dumb ass BBC!!! Don't they ask themselves that the shear fact those monks are in their robs and allowed to worship in MANY temples the central government has budgeted every year to support is an astounding statement and support for their religious freedom! The fact that the crowd of monks was openly speaking is an astounding statement of free speech! If there was ANY apparent and TRUE fear of any retaliation, you might see one or two brave ones, but NOT a crowd to speak and complain.
ForJamuqa 3 years ago
ForJamuqua: oh really. How about the fact that its illegal to own a photo of the Dalai Lama? Is that religious freedom? Or the fact that monks are forced to denounce the Dalai Lama? Is that religious freedom? Or the fact that 6000 monasteries were destroyed by Chinese & the monks tortured or imprisoned? How about the fact that THESE monks risked their lives to speak out (a fact who fail to understand)? Or the fact that they were locked in the monastery since Mar. 14. That's religious freedom??!!
ariell 3 years ago
Get this: Daliar Lama is MORE of a politician in a monk's robe than anything else. His "Freedom Fighters", some of the monks are no longer regarded as religious clergy men but criminals once they raise weapon and commit violence and killings against other human beings. Law and order must be maintained in any civilized cities, why Lhasa should be different? Practicing Buddhism IS promoted and supported all over China nowadays. Supporting Daliar Lama is a political movement, not religious practice
ForJamuqa 3 years ago
ForJamqua: That's absolutely ridiculous. Just recently there were 2 monks arrested for owning a photo of the Dalai Lama. AND as I said, monks are being forced to denounce the Dalai Lama, their spriitual leader, or face persecution. You call that religious freedom???? Your claims that the Dalai Lama is a 'politician' masterminding the Tibetan riots is silly, ludicrous and baseless propaganda fed to you by the CCP.

By the way, our Chinese fellows. We need to be more creative.
Why don't we just tell the West that Tibet independence movement is merely the "conspiracy of divide-and rule" of Imperialism?
Why don't we just ask pro-Chinese tibetans to spread the word and endorse the Chinese government in front of the Western media?

Dalai Lama did NOT want independence, and he had been as moderate as possible. He even support the Beijing olympic game. Why the West just keep adding oil on fire by "boycotting the Olympic game" when those monks started rebelling?

Is there human rights violation in Tibet: Yes
Is there relgion heavy hand and watch: Yes
Is there racial tension in Tibet: Yes
Is there desire to have separation among some of the Tibetans: Yes
Does it justify to turn it into a completely-out-of-context media storm and political fanfare: NO NO NO!

The peaple is chinese;
The goverment is Chinese goverment.

ziwangyu; you are just proving to us your arrogance. why on earth should the chinese have a right to decide what is best for the TIBETAN people???
did the british have a right to decide what is best for the chinese people when they invaded china in the 1800's????????
ariell 3 years ago
BECAUSE, TIBET IS PART OF CHINA! i understand your point, but when one say CHINESE, it means the 56 ethnic groups in China!
ps. no one could be sure who's 100% Han Chinese. many westerners told me that they thought I was Tibetan, I could only say, I don't think I'm Tibetan, at least not 100%. But we are all Chinese anyway!
wanderinginsummer 3 years ago
wandering: no, tibet was forcefully overtaken by the chinese. Tibetans are NOT chinese.
ariell 3 years ago
i suppose u have done some research over the Tibet history and u should know it's not as simple as China invaded Tibet 50 years ago, well, first time China invade Tibet in the 13th century, and Tibet formally became part of China in 17th century, and then the whole China were invaded by many western powers.the qing empire collapsed in 1910s. later we had civil war..basically we were just in a mess to fight..but Tibet had never been legally independent!
wanderinginsummer 3 years ago
Tibet was and is part of China..however, no one knows how the future will be...
I acknowledge the percived threat Tibetans feel to their culture, heritage and history due to increased Han migration to Tibet in recent years. but i wish u could understand that the Tibet issues are multi-dimensional.and as a matter of fact, the majority of Tibetans who actually lives in Tibet do not want to be independent! if u really care about Tibetan people then try to contact with them and ask their opinions!
wanderinginsummer 3 years ago
p.s. i don't mean Tibetan exiles. I mean Tibetan people who actually live in Tibet and other parts of China!!
i'm really tired of those arguments these days.. people have forgot whom they are arguing for!!!

May be they're bullied by other monks from other sects. LOL. Dalai can not go back to Tibet because other big monks do not want him to come back at all. Don't blame it on the Chinese government. When Chinese president Hu went to Germany & France to discuss big business deals, they roughed up Tibetan demonstrators. Only CIA got India to provide help to the Tibetans when they wanted used them to keep China on the toes. Not now any more. Money talks...

Western Media: smooth liars
Chinese Media: lousy liars
Daila Lama: two face liar
They are all liars for their own governments and their own agendas.
Without CIA and constant supports from Western coutnries and their media mouthes, Daila Lama and their 110K exiles are no different from any independent movements groups around the world and with relatively little tragedies to tell. But with CIA and Western countries support, these exiles were sounded like the saddest story in humanity.
jkuang 3 years ago
Western media is liar, but Chinese are bigger liars, they have no sense of truth and justice, only know how to take other peoples land, call it their own and kill innocent civilians in the name of riot control.

I look down upon DaLiar lama.
As foreigners, they don't know much about today's tibet at all.
gamloveinto 3 years ago
gamioveinto: obviously you need to do some research before talking about things you know nothing about.

China is a wonderful place.
