high five gc my firends call it cheating because brawl was supposed to be used with the wr and useing the old one was the easy way but i played melee and i found it was hard changeing it up so i didn't
Eh, well I meant that his hit box is horizontal and he doesn't move much horizontally, makes it easy to kick him in the head while he is recovering. I'll spike DK, provided I didn't already lightning kick him off the screen from the stage. I do know that after awhile you somehow are intrinsically aware of how to deal with each character, since they are pretty well balanced in Brawl.
I haven't seen a good Zelda player on Youtube, until you. I personally would have gone for meteor spikes off the edge since his recovery is rather vertical. That's a personal preference though. (Zelda is my main) I generally play more aggressively like you started to after your first stock. He didn't have a chance after that. Keep on kicking ass, pun intended.
Yeah you're pretty good with Zelda. As a zelda user myself, I fight liek you. Personally, I think you should've used Din's fire way, wayyyy more. That's the only critique I have, goob job hitting those air kick meteor smashes.
...What's the point in playing it safe? I wasn't down a lot of lives or anything. It seems pointless because I missed all of the kicks, it doesn't always work. Did you see the ending? No smash attack nor Din's Fire would have had the same effect. And what you said basically answered why I jump off the edge, it's for the element of surprise. If I were to use Din's Fire, the opponent could easily airdodge to avoid it.
Well, personally I wouldn't (if i were playing in a serious match). Perhaps you feel more comfortable. I play Zelda mostly as well. The kicks probably would've launched him, but imagine if you fell too far down? Zelda has a great recovery move, but there's also a huge margin for error. I've teleported into the floor of the stage enough times to know it's not something i'd risk in a srs match.
That's only if you made such a mistake though. I can tell how far is too far down. Using Din's Fire or a Smash attack compared to jumping out is relatively easier, but that doesn't mean jumping out is really difficult. But like you said, I might be more comfortable with it than you are.
BOY were those sexy kills! Seriously, two lightning kick KOs? I was disappointed that I didn't see any in the vs Wolf vid, but Wolf's harder to sweetspot even though he's taller.
I really need to make use of Zelda's throws. You've got some GREAT technique with her. Watching the fights, it feels like you're really confident with her weight.
XD TL's technique was poor, but that's TL. More smashes would have been good, and if a spam move doesn't work, stop spamming it!
ur good..my main is sheik but my zelda needs a lil work tho. But definately ur good my zelda could definately learn a thing or 2 from you. We should brawl sometime! :]
The person playing Toon Link is terrible

zelda is AWSOME

It's a shame that Zelda's Down B is a wasted move for dedicated Zelda players; likewise with Sheik. They should have made them seperate characters.

Oh yeah, and whoever says use more fireballs, I have one thing to say, get some skill. Din's fire is great, but it isn't skill.

Lol, I'm not the best for sure. You should look up "darkmusician" ; great Zelda both in Melee and Brawl.
And if his recovery is vertical, wouldn't you rather hit him with a horizontal attack? ;D

@PearledWaveS aruee is way better than darkmusician in almost all aspects except for his tele cancels

that's dumb jumping off the edge and trying to kick him. better luck just using djinn's fire or charging up a smash, it's safer.
