Well maybe not the best, but I havn't used very many laptops in the past to compare anyhow. Actually in the past few months I've had this comp its crashed several times, usually in turbo mode when playing games. Think this could be due to overheating issues?

@thephoenix4ever if you have they same one that the kid in the video has... they have been notorious for overheating because the speaker on the bottom took away several vents and will make it overheat... if you have the new one without the bottom speaker and its doing this you could possible have gotten a faulty GPU/CPU. And also if you use a gaming laptop on your lap it will overheat because it wont be able to breath. also asus has a hardware warranty so call and get a new laptop!

Well I was mostly using this on my lap yes, since my desktop takes up all the room and I can't move it out of the way. Now I just stick a tiny fan to help it air out so I think it was just because it was on my lap (but I will continue to see how it performs on the desk, if it doesn't crash like that)

@notthecheatr No problems, it's vicious :D only one BSOD in COD4 Multiplayer. Speakers are low volume, but headphones solve the problem or USB speakers.

Also, just to finish off the differences, the JX has 6GB of 1333 RAM instead of 4GB of 1066 RAM - comes with 1 less HDD and slot instead. The J has slightly longer battery life thanks to the cooler and lower powered GPU, but the GPU can still overclock to J levels and beyond when powered.

This is indeed the G51J-A1 - not the Jx. Lots of differences, it had a Copperhead, Jx has Salmosa/Abyssus, J has 2 HDD, Jx has GTS360M, J has that taped up fake round vent over the fan visible in the vid, while the Jx doesn't, GTX260M vs. GTS360M from my tests so far my JX is able to outclock the J in 3DMark Vantage.

I thought you beat me to be the first JX owner since I didn't get mine until the 3rd and this vid is the 2nd - but this is older J model not JX. Wish you could change title... PJP

G51 has many known BSOD issues but they might have been resolved with the newest bios release not sure.

That 6GB really doesn't mean much. Its at 1066Mhz. If I knew they threw in a two slot 1333Mhz DDR3 ram, then I would consider. I can't stand the fact it has 1 HDD & no RAID support. If you did your research right, theres only a slight difference between the 360m GTS & the 260m GTX. I'm satisfied with this purchase. I can't wait that long for the G73JH. & I got this nearly 200$ off than MSRP. :D
