I love the retro 60s angle these guys have. Pity about the sound quality - I played my recording of it in sync with the video using the vocal to match them up.
proud to be polish!! this has got to be the most unique, creative, awesome contemporary nu-jazz group i have ever heard!!! amazing. i am so glad to have discovered them. better than contemporary noise quintet/sextet, imho, although they are awesome too.
Great vid and the only musical group I know from Poland. I used to listen to this a lot when Ishkur's Guide to Eletronic Music came out. Too bad the sound quality is shit, otherwise thumbs up
I've never heard this style music before. I kinda like it. I mean, I had to keep listening to it. It never really went anywhere except to take me on a pleasurable little trip.

This is terrible music. This is not jazz. Having a jazz kit and a double bass player does not make you jazz. This is at best ambient house. At BEST. my gripe is with it being labels jazz. This is AWFUL. forgettable, uneventful, unimaginative polish trite. and is it is, so are you. now fuck off.
I dig this and the electronic jazz genre in general, if you can turn me on to something more lively or what you consider better, send me a message, man. I've listened to most of the Ninja Tune artists and Meat Beat, Four Tet and a few others. Lemme know.

hmmm... reply didn't go through annoying. well all I said was that this is not electronic jazz. At ALL. this is poor elevator music. awful drumming, no groove and no feeling. This type of jazz is new and experimental and people like this are just poisoning a truly interesting genre's possibilities by pretending they are part of it. So, if you think I am boring for that, then yes, I am boring. and happy to be.
@creamslut awful drumming, no groove and no feeling this is all subjective next time if you don't have anything thing positive o say don't say anything thing thanks bye

god this still? *laughs I'll say what I want, that is what the comment section is for. And I say this is an awful example of ANY music, never mind pretending its jazz. and its my right to that opinion. I don't HAVE to like this band. Simply because you say so. I think its terrible, absolutely terrible. Lazy uninspired crap. And most importantly, the drummer is USELESS. So to all of you pushing the thumbs down, I say... Fuck you all. and this band.
Man tools like you shouldn't be able to comment because you don't eenm understand what you're saying.... And I quote this is poor elevator music. awful drumming, no groove and no feeling. You said this is stating that it is a fact of life that this has no groove when all I said was it was subjective therefore not a fact
go back to school, and if you didn't like the music why comment why even click on the page I understand everyone has the right to thier opinon but you come off as self rightous bitch when you say foolish things like that....
@Lawnwake I really don't understand your definition of what elevator music is hahah. You pick soloist guitarists? Freaky elevators, my friend! Pretty kickass elevators, but freaky nonetheless! haha

Well, lately listening to other Polish jazz band, very innovative and significant--> LABORATORIUM, I found out what was bothering me since I'd first read about Skalpel's way of making music. The question was where they take their samples from. One tiny hint came up to me when I've discovered Laboratorium's ABZ track from Modern Pentathlon, 1976. The beginning of this song is a sample that later on was to be developed in my favourite Skalpel's track The Dream Of The Sleepless Man. Check this out!
