  • just ordered dell m1730

    T8300 2.4ghz

    2 x Nvidia Geforce 9800m GT SLI

only downside of the laptop was 2GB ram, but easy upgrade to 4GB, so dont bother me

can i play it with 2GB or can it handle some other games like ARMA2 ?

    thx

  • @mataleo27 It's better to order it with less ram, since its cheaper if you order it yourself seperatly. Thats what I did with mine.

I would upgrade to 6 gb if I were you. Thats all you need. 2gb will quickly run short, at least with vista or win7

  • @henrikns yeh, belive it it works just fine with 2gb ram, on full details, i can play no problem :)

  • for the video editing download pinnacle video spin or pinnacle studio 14

  • Just bought a new pc with a nice quad core processor and this graphics card, seem'd pretty cheap too. CANNOT WAIT! :D

  • bullshit

i am with 9800 and it ran perfectly at max resolution this CANT BE 9800 GT

  • @SkullCreap Mobile cards are underclocked and there are different variations of 9800.

  • @reiku5000 well, med-high, sli...

i've got more results on my single 9800gt Very high, 2xAA and recording...

  • @SkullCreap

Note that he specifically said the lag was from FRAPS.

  • @SkullCreap but not max detail, also what cpu u have

  • @luian90 intel duo core e7300 i think 2,66 ., 2,67 ghz

  • enloy lol

  • @Kaeden728 Mostly depends on your motherboard. If it supports SLI, then you just need to meet the power requirement. You can look it up at Nvidias site. But im thinking its around 400W for a single 550 for SLI for the 9800GT. You can only SLI on a Nvidia chipset though. It will not work on Intell x38,48 for example as only crossfire is supported.

  • what kind of fps were you getting? these kinds of videos are pointless if we can't tell what kind of fps you're getting...it looks like 15fps...

  • and he's got lowest on models

  • bout 19 on an 9800gt m8 it's slipping to low range now.

  • thx for posting this now I know that I can upgrade my xps with the same specs as u to an 9800GT sli! :D

  • if you get it of the dell website they let you upgrade it to 1gb memory like what i done

  • nice vid

i got some questions, are these specs ok? ::

    INTEL Q9300 2.5GHz

    6GB RAM

    9800GT SLI

    vista premium

    how good are thesE?

    thanks

  • dude of course they are every idiot would see that !! 6 GB RAM WITH A 9800 GT !!!! LOL OF COURSE

  • its laging like shit ?

  • can you overclock the xps .. i heard you can just go into bios is this true. or are there other ways.

  • Is this laptop better than the old alienware m17 ? please reply cos i really need a gaming laptop

  • its all about preference, i have the m1730 x9000 processor and dual 8800 gtx's and 4gbs ram, and i can run 1920x1200 crysis at stable 40fps with edited very high settings, which is good for a laptop, the old m17 struggles with crysis on high with max res, m1730 is also easily overclockable so u probs will get better game performance form the m1730

  • Oh thank God someone posted a more up-to-date video of the XPS M1730 with the 9800GT instead of the older cards, this helped thank you.

  • How many fps are you getting? Around 30 right, thanks nice vid too 5/5 :)

  • Looks a little laggy there unless thats fraps.

  • Is this the 9800 gt 512 MB or the

    9800 gt 1GB

  • lol dude ur triping out i run this fine at 35 to 55 fps in my old pc with the same card... i dont twick around with the settings i just set deffault and it sets them to games spec...anyways my specs are intel pentium dualcore proccesor e2220 2.40 ghz with 4 gis or ram and 500 gig hard drive... although in my new system i run this at 150 to 160 fps.. scpcs of new system are... x58 motherbord core 7i 975 and dual 9800 gt.. this card need the right system to ryn at max pottential.. good vd though

  • theres a way to fix the fps issues with fraps. u need to set the recording cap above 30 fps or else this is the result. but ur right it does run super smooth on the 9800 gt. its a great little card that doesnt get all the credit it desrves

  • You can also improve the performance of the FRAPS recording if disable the sound recording feature in FRAPS

  • ^^ 'Nuff said,

I love this graphics card in my new desktop, it plays anything I throw at it on high graphics.

  • i'd like to know what your av. min. max. FPS is if you dont mind.

You'll find some benchmarks in the "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32 " folder, run that wait till it stops and give us the av. min. max.

  • what is the configuration again. Geforce dual 9800 sli, how about RAM and Chipset

  • RAM: 4 GB

    Processor: Intel Core2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz

  • he said chipset! not cpu lol

your not right in the head m8 ;P

  • no reason to be a jerk to the kid just cause he didnt understand the question

  • exactley and when u but the new m1730 from dell u have the option of have the AGEIA physx card built in since this laptop happens to have the nvidia vid card built in

  • wtf ? did you delete my comment ? then write that lol

  • lol i must have didnt mean to tho

  • What resolution?

  • when i played it it was 1900x1200 but i had to resize it to a smaller resolution to upload it, the video was friggin huge lol

  • Nice, I ordered a XPS M1730 over the weekend. 9800M GT's in SLI too, with the PhysX card.
