That is one awesome theme song! Perfect for Aladdin aka Scott's show.
But I still think making a more realistic stork story would've done the trick instead. Like maybe they do the stork dance & then the mom swollows a special stork egg that have no bird in it like chicken eggs? That's my story & I'm sticking to it for any kid who asks.
CBS put it on Saturdays originally, which didn't help. They brought it back the following summer after a seven-month hiatus, airing it twice a week with great lead-ins (Major Dad on Mondays and half hour episodes of Rescue 911 on Wednesdays), but even that failed to find The Family Man an audience. The network, however, was gracious enough to make up for their Saturday scheduling misfire. Before the summer 1991 run, CBS agreed to give TFM a second season if the summer ratings improved.
@vsnan1984 Changing audience taste may have been one reason. After a decade of family sitcoms (Cosby, Family Ties, Full House, The Hogan Family, etc), audiences had grown tired of them and they stopped watching. Since I'm an Al Molinaro fan, I watched this show mainly to see him. I think it was his last TV sitcom. Anyway, THX for posting this. It brought back some gr8 memories from the summer of '91, one of my best years ever!

Yep. Having your first kiss in front of a live studio audience with your dad right in front of you isn't awkward at all.

Thanks, I was one of those fans. I have wanted to see this again for years. I always liked the opening theme music.

Hey, uwec95. Where are your other sitcoms?
PTH4Fun 3 years ago
I'm still searching for others, but I'm not having much luck. I didn't tape everything that I watched.
