Some of your best scenes for the Kcars is 49th and Woodland, Island Rd, Rte 10 entrance to the subway and Church ln and Chester ave on the Rte 13 during rush hour.
how did they get tht media car there in the yard? at tht same place when the M4's came out they dilvered an m4 on a truck an later on it was sitting in the same spot were the Media car was sitting..great vid!!
I visited Philadelphia in 2008 and travelled on some of the streetcar lines including the 15 and the 11 (I think). The rides were great, but the area was unusual (to put it mildly). At least I've never been to such areas before. I definitely want to come back some day and ride the lines I missed. Great city! Greetings from Switzerland.
Nice...I remember Septa track designers getting some sort of award for the that 49th & woodland Intersection maybe 25years ago...Its amazing that these 5 trolley routes have been basically been un altered in 30years..same Kawasaki cars with no route abandonment.. I wonder how Septa has been able to get around these trolleys not being wheel chair accessable.
I've actually done video at 30th, 22nd, 19th, and Juniper stations, but that was back in 1999/2000, and I was still taping vhs back then. I've gotten individual shots at 39th & Lancaster, 49th & Woodland, 45th & Chester, and down at Island and Woodland. The portal was actually a new location for me....
Great video! I wish my editing program would let me splice together multiple clips to make longer vids to post here...
Excellent video Timosha21!...Its about time someone isn't afraid to go further than the portal to collect footage of the k-car. Some sound issues but greatt overall!
@LightRailChic thank you! When one wants to film the streetcar really badly they will... I was really cautious but i am glad i went further! Sound issues is the problem of the converter... The converter does not always do excellent sound quality but video quality was good.
Including the new green line, Girard Avenue Line, 15
