  • "Close to the Bone" contains some of the most superb lyric writing ever contributed to popular music.

Tom Bailey is on my "To meet before I die" list.

Altohugh I can't look at Allanha the same way after reading about her in that book a few years back.

  • i was lucky enough to meet him in london last year!

  • i no him dude

  • Where did you met him??

  • What book are you referring to here?

  • 'Thompson Twin: An 80's Memoir' by Michael White. (published 2000)

He was a struggling musician who briefly played in the ttwins backing band.

An interesting read if you're into the T-Twins.

  • hm, thanks for the info.

  • Man, I miss this band. Have to agree with 'seifukusha' too - it's awesome to be able to see this stuff 20 or so years after the fact and relive a little of the past (when music kicked ass). Thanks for posting this video. It was great. I've been going through an 80's flashback these past couple of weeks and this just helps me relive a little of the glory years.

  • you are more than welcome!

subscribe to my vids, strictly twins!

  • this is why i love youtube, how cool is that?!?! I love the big trash era. thank you so much man. Hey max is here too!

  • This clip is actually from Canadian television. It's from an old music show called "Good Rockin' Tonight". I remember taping this in 1989 as it was used as a lead-in to the "Sugar Daddy" video (seeing as they weren't guests at that time, so a clip from the "Close To the Bone" era was used).
