Many of ur Qurra (memorizers) were killed in battle of Yamama.
There was no divine command from allah to write a book, some reciters like Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud & Ubay Ibn Ka'b made their own quran collection.
Ibn Masud's quran was used at Kufa, Iraq & Ubays's quran in Syria.
These different collections of the quran contained also many variant readings.
More than 1,700 are attributed to Ibn Masud alone. ("Materials for the history of the text Of the Quran" by A. Jeffry, 1937)

There are three codexes to the original quran.
1) Hasfah Codex
2) Abdullah Ibn Masud Codex
3) Ibn Ka'ab Codex
So it was Caliph Uthman who appointed Zaid Ibn Thabit to reconstruct the Quran known as Zaid Codex. The Quran today is based upon Zaid Codex and not other codices already in existence which were burnt. Islam, not non-muslims, was the first to have a quran book burning!

This fact is the reason Muslim scholars date these manuscripts no earlier than 200 years after Muhammad died. Muhammad is in the bible, he's mentioned by name in the song of Soloman 5:16.
The Hebrew word used is Muhammadim. The end letters IM is a plural of respect, majesty & grandeur.
Take away the IM and you have Muhammad, translated as "althogether lovely", in the authorised version of the bible or "The praised One" - The one worthy of praise, meaning Muhammad (saws).

In Genesis 2:16, we can surmise logically that God gave Adam a language from Yahweh Himself! All the names of the prophets from Adam on down had Hebrew names with Hebrew meanings.

David didnt do real research. He didnt vett Muhammad as a prophet thru Genesis but arbitrarily resigned himself to false notions that Muhammad is a prophet w/o first proving he is a prophet. Only thru Genesis can all who are prophets be a prophet.
It is interesting to note that in history many preachers kids rebel from the strictness of their Christian parents beliefs. David doesnt seem to know the real Jesus in the bible & fell 4 the false one in the quran.
