Thanks for posting this. Bought back a few memories! I had a 127 1050CL as my first car. I swapped the single choke carb for a Weber DMTR twin choke, then swapped the back box for a peco. The carb really made it go well, although you'd get alot of unburnt fuel on the overrun, so it would pop flames out of the exhaust, at night you could see the road light up behind you, brilliant fun!
The best 0-100kmh time was 8.9s, 1/4mile 16.4s. Now it should be faster but I have not tested yet. It's under construction now. If you know what you are doing you can get this performance with the right parts at about maybe 2500-3000€ if you buy everything new. I have done much by my self and with a lot of help from my friends. The car would be faster but it has pretty bad traction problems. I have 195/45/15" wheels for the next sommer so that should help. Ehi in the 80's when I was usually to drive my father 127 3P ( first edition ) 140KM/h it was a normal speed .. highway only ... LOL
The engine need a lot of oil at least 2KG every 5000 Km ... but nice car
