  • Possibly the most underrated rapper of the 2000's

  • NEED I SAY TIMELESS

  • Good for the soul

  • I just wanted to say this is the first song I've ever put on replay on youtube!

  • one of the illest tracks ever..

  • 0 dislikes. there are less dummies in the world than I thought =)

  • Classic slept-on album!

  • Love it!

  • This my shit

  • my style has no birth record

  • this dope shit drive me crazy

  • This is such a laidback track. Blasting it through your speakers on a sunny day makes you feel untouchable. J-Live needs more exposure, one of the best rappers on the circuit today.

  • this is timeless - just like good music always is.

    Classy!

  • Dats anotha dope joint wont b heard on da radio

  • Legendary track!

  • yo yo man thats my man too man man!

  • wow thats my man !

  • true rap

  • J-Live is teh man- support and buy his records!!!!

If you like J-Live check out my music.

  • This reminds me of riding round Augusta Georgia with my best friend who happened to love hip hop just as much as the average J Live fan. We used to listen to a lot of good music but I never got around to sharing this brothers music with her. Good times.

  • Straight talented MC, no garbage 2010 flow that's been flooding the radio and video channels with flavor of the month hooks. Hot now cold tomorrow shi8.

  • why can't you be happy everyone's on lil wayne and doesn't know about real hip hop.... i would be devastated if people found about about this shit and it became played out just like everything else in this materialistic mainstream world

  • nah not played out, music like this should be shown to the masses because it helps you think on a higher level as opposed to focusing on a few insignificant things (although everyone does love money)

  • haha man, the public is so dumb that all they crave for is robot autotune, stupid music. It's not possible for this kind of music to go mainstream

as he said in the "best part", "look how hip-hop grew

But it's still the proverbial sad clown of music

Exploited by many, understood by few"

we understand the good part of it, the bad part is the mainstream exploring it into their own candy pop music, dont worry about this shit going mainstream, mainstream will never, ever, ever play this :)

  • Damn brother, art like this deserves more exposure than 8k views. I'm starting to lose my faith in society's intellectual state when artists like Lil Wayne sell more CD's than a god of rhyme with a soul of diamonds.

  • @AANVC I hear you bro! I don't know what the fuck people are doing listening to Lil Wayne, T pain, Drake etc when we got stuff like J Live!

  • @townsend316 Its because society made it that way. Look at whats on your tv. That shit influences what these kids listen to each and every day. We just gotta spread the word. Someone needs to make a show that plays only the old school/Real rap. Not those rappers you listed and others.

  • @AANVC I think it's better for the music to stay "unknown". More commercial attention might ruin it. But I agree. I too wish more people knew this kind of music. I just hope none of the commercial fuckers will ever hear it. I don't want "my music" to be ruined by money. Music is about passion and love, not about money and fame. Music is about people. Human struggle. Human love. Human life. FUCK THE INDUSTRY!

  • @AndyBRGN

    dude, fuck you.

this song's already been crafted and recorded, and you're going to say "more attention might ruin it." just fuck you. this track is dope regardless of how many people are listening to it. and more attention would only be a good thing, J deserves the attention for his work, and every new fan of music that's dope like this is an important step towards something good.

stop being a music horder who doesn't want others to know about good shit. spread the knowledge.

  • @WakingApnea I might've gone out with a rough tongue there, but that's only because I love it so much. I want everybody in the world to hear this, and I am spreading what I like to let more people know. I just don't like all of what's happening in the industry in general, and just hope no more great artists fall into the traps to make a fast buck. But I do know that artists like J won't sell out to change sound. J deserves all the attention he can get, as long as he can do what he does. Peace!

  • Good reply. The guy missed your point.

  • this is all gravy!!!j gots the whole package!!

  • Great music

  • blahzey x2 debating music... Yo, its plain to hear, this is what Hip-hop was meant to spawn in essence...The basics arent being upheld.

  • This is real!

  • Lyrics and track are organic... a perfect fit. J-Live is an emcee's MC. Far above the rest.

  • one of the gods

  • possibly the smoothest hip hop track i've ever heard.

  • ill

  • ooooo1Ceman: only a fool judges the album/rapper by it's cover

  • this is my joint right here, classic album also

  • how hadn't i heard of this person before today

    he's mint

  • what does that mean ? you new school cats stay in your lane.

  • thank you. too many new booty cats talkin about whats real

  • @danndavison I'm sure someone's answered this by now, but I think he's just telling lame rappers like Lil Wayne (and other "Lil's" I can't even think of) to keep making shitty music... because clearly there's still quality out there, and if we keep listening to and looking for it, real artists like J Live will keep making it. "...that's why I love whack ni**as, thanks for makin' my shit sound so tight..." -Little Brother

  • @danndavison it means dont step out of bounds, show some respect

  • yo put up vampire hunter j!! peace

  • Wow i heard J live on the radio the other day and i was digging the track they were playing. so i had to check out more of his stuff. Hes really dope Hands down. probably buy one of his records

  • One of the dopest cuts off the album. I recommend picking it up if you can find it for a cheap price because its becoming obscure...

  • Yeah, most definetly a dope album... relatable words on it. ... "respect goes out to civilized and comitted".

  • I have the double LP, by far one of the better records in my collection, it is a timeless album

  • same for me.. One of my favorite LP's

  • interesting mellow beats, reminecent of de la soul, and even the great innovator or rap- Gil Scott Heron

  • WOW!!!! This was a hot track. CORRECTION. IT STILL IS A HOT TRACK

  • ...And always will be...

  • awesome

  • sick asss beat man

  • Wow...awesome beat!

    5*
