  • This is absolutely one of the first real bluesy songs that I encountered when I was in high school. Dam this left an impression!!

  • Wow,

GCE days. Memories, 16 year old, school friends, warm summer evening, on the beach, beer, prog rock, days later off to sea and travelled the world. Still got the old vinyls.

  • Rendben haver.

  • I cannot get enough of this song, in all its versions. Thanks so much for posting. Alvin Lee forever!

  • great TYA !

  • Mes années 70..............:-@

  • What a grat song !! loveeee you ten years after !

  • Nagyszeru a dal,de Alveen Lee baratunk nagyszeruen bassel!

  • @bandolero366 Mi az hogy "bassel"? Alvin Lee barátunk szólógitáros. Abból is a legjobbak közül való.

  • TYA was part of that British Blues scene at the time and NOT the British Invasion. Along with Savoy Brown, John Mayall, The Yardbirds, Spencer Davis, Fleetwood Mac, Chicken Shack and the like. Don't forget that all those bands were about the music and the blues and NOT pop hits. Thats why its seems so "real" because it was real. Thats how bands could get record deals without a top single.

  • 111* :))

  • GUITAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! love them !

  • @gntekos hey, it's Greek to me, too.

  • Awesome !!!

  • Kocham STEREO!!!

  • I went a Ten Years After concert last month...Awesome! And Leo Lyons signed my shirt :->

  • Great song. Alvin Lee.

  • I forgot that at one time I actually bought this as a single ~~ Brilliant ~~

  • TYA had a sound like no others. UNBELIEVABLE. This is what rock 'n' roll is all about. I didn't discover them until I was in high school in the 70's. This may be the song that consumately defines their sound.

    Better late than never.

  • Interesting to hear some of his signature licks in a few different songs. Alvin Lee's one of my all time guitar heroes and 10 Y.A. was a well deserving band.

Grande musica e grande grandissimo Alvin Lee !

  • think about the time .....

  • When I was a student in the UK, I salivated over music like this but could ill afford them. Got qualified as a Chartered Accountant went back to London after 20 years and collected all I could the likes of TYA, Jethro Tull, Led Zep, YES, etc in CD format. Now I'm a happy 60 year old still listening to those guys and reminiscing the cold winter days that I walked along Oxford St. window shopping at HMV.

  • @pontianutube.. I`d like to know you...oh yess..

  • @pontianutube Always enjoy reading comments like this

  • @pontianutube heehee, fabulous, I am 43 years young and have been listening to this music since the age of 17. started all off with the velvet underground.

  • Jesus fucking christ, I forgot just how brilliant this was/is! Thanks for posting, where is Alvin Lee now?

  • great music

  • seriously I was born in the wrong era...... THIS is what I call music

  • @Noacuervo I don't know when you were born but, I feel for you. This is the stuff I grew up on. (high school-early to mid 70's) If I had to grow up to some of the stuff their putting out these days I'd have to OD or put a bullet in my head.

  • @Jackle61 really I envy you because unfortunately I was born in the 90's ..... (sorry about my english is not good enough)

  • Great song. One of the best riffs ever and an ecstasy gibson guitar solo.

never like this will be donne!

  • Oh yeah!!

  • These guys were big in the early and mid 1970's. Alvin Lee had some quick fingers.

  • This may have been their first "hit" song..what other band got so noticed without an official "hit" song at the time?

  • @TwoPointsUp The Who. The Grateful Dead

  • 40 YER FORE MI

  • Pop some Talwin and a booster and enjoy

  • Frenetic guitar solo. Thank you Alvin, thank you TYA!

  • This solo, of this particular version ,should be into the top ten list of the best solos ever.It s well built,in harmony and has a wonderfull, powerfull tuch of finess. Thanks mister Alvin Lee.

  • @maccafan10 - Right on!

  • What an amazing solo

  • Watching classic rock like this being born ( and actually being there to experience it happening), I would not swap my youth for a lotto jackpot.

  • Das war meine Zeit. Excellent.

  • @DemoiselleP Meine auch ... ;-)

  • I've got this on a single. It has an edited studio version on the A side, and a live version (from Fillmore East, I think) playing at 33 rpm on the B side. I think it reached no 10 in the UK charts in 1970.

  • super piosenka

  • The big hit from "Cricklewood Green". Excellent song. Loved to get high and listen to this one.

  • BUCKAH WOW ...LOVE IT!!!

Alfred

  • 6 fags dont love like a man

  • Great track!

  • Smoke a doobie and pop a little Ten Years After in the 8 track tape player...

  • Comment removed

  • @shammabeebop I don't think we did doobies back then...maybe like this......smoke a bone from the lid of Mexican pot you just bought for $20 then slip in that 8 track LOL. How did we tolerate 8 tracks ? I played this album till the grooves were worn out! Flower Power forever!!!!!!

  • @shammabeebop I hadda do the reverse. The "Columbian gold" back then made loading the tape too complicted!

  • @PhiZappaCrappa hehehe.... what about acapolco gold or mauiwowie?? my old man said the hardest was choosing which one 1st.. Ten years after 'love like a man' or roll-up, so he said it semed easier to do both at same time lol = )

  • @shammabeebop Don't forget the matchbook to wedge the 8 track in so it tracks properly. {8-)

  • @shammabeebop I hear ya buddy. I love these guys.

  • Merci encore TYA.

  • At the start of this song I closed my eyes and was transported back to the 60s on an LSD trip. WHAT A PYSCHO COLOR TRIP.

  • @empath06 Same here. Barrel Sunshine, headphones and TYA. Wouldn't do it again, happy to have survived it (listen carefully kidz, don't even think about it) but at the time ... Those were the days. Your initials wouldn't happen to be JV would they ??? Lost contact with my old trippin' bud over the years. No Facebook ....no idea. Hey, ya never know.

  • Alvin Lee could do anything....even play jazz (Listen to the "Undead" 1967 Live LP)

  • @MrSKINFLICK ABSOLUTELY HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD MR.SKIN

  • Ya gotta love it!

  • Classic Rock... TYA rules... better than hip hop and rap crap. The music on the radio today is yuch...

  • I have tried to think of a bad TYA song. Came up blank. Alvin's guitar was always on fire. They rocked with the best. Their entire catalog is an absolute must.

  • Yeah this IS music!!!
