This is weird--to have the men walk onto the stage and hand the dancer money. I have never seen this--that is considered dirty and disrespectful. Money is showered on the dancer or thrown on the floor at her feet.

i dont know where you are from, but this is arabic tradition, in my eyes throwing the money at the dancer is more disrespectful. money is usually placed in the dancers bra or just given to her.

mmmhhh.. throwing money over them, or rather "raining" it on them can be more respectful than touching them, particularly at the hip or bra strap... those are very private parts obviously, and I always feel a bit uncomfortable for the dancer when I see it. Many dancers do not accept money on their body, and I understand that..

the raining money may look strange, but it leaves them their privacy. I always thought of it as respectful to be honest!

Giving tips seems to be a way for Arabs to show appreciation. I have seen Arab bands where the audience throw money at them. And the same with the dancer. Greetings from Delaware

U're right..it's so awful to see her dancing while holding her tips..I'm a bellydancer too & i really hate when people try to put tips on me,esp like the guy in the above movie...
