  • best cover Ive seen yet, couldnt express my feelings in a better way

  • Probably my favorite Exile piece. Elemental hip-hop shit - it's on another level.

  • @v0lc0me love it!

  • wow, this is dope!!

  • Beautiful beat, a true symphony!

  • Is that Alan Watts? Anyone happen to know which lecture it's from?

  • @Jozsus Hey that is Alan Watts I think that line is from his lecture The Constitution of Nature I'm not exactly sure though.

  • is this an alan watts sample?

  • I'm new to exile just found him today this is the first song I've heard, this is brilliance beautiful masterpiece of beats

  • WTF, I Heard 666 On 3:41

  • :) The sound is the vibration, the sound is God. Listen and you will hear him, he will take you awayin the spirit if you are ready. He is the sound of the universe, he is X. we were created in his image. XX, and XY.

  • i just did a rap over this....let me know if i did this beat justice imo Blu couldve done better but fuck it im young aha /watch?v=Lc99LTsYYsY thank you.

  • this gives me the perfect mental balance.

  • none of y'all know that was allan watts in the beginning of this track....now you know.

  • ohmygaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i had a trip and i didnt use drugs :O

  • OMG Great sound ! You got a sample of Fado from Amália Rodrigues i think.. Beautifull sound rly.. keep up

  • your beats take me away to the sweetest escape possible.. sucking in your beats and swalling the words, your music keeps my spinal cord in balance.

  • the lone radio samurai wades through the icy blizzard mountains reminiscing of the past......

  • blu should spit a rhyme on this

  • Shout out to Alan Watts

  • Comment removed

  • I remember Exile's mixtapes from the mid 90's that had Madlib and some other folks on it...wish I could find that cassette...

  • watts good everybody i'm an aspiring 18 year old producer and rapper and i HATE to sound like a spammer but if you have 2 min of free time i promise you won't be disappoint in the REAL hip hop i have on my page VERY similar to the music that the industry is missing today... i'd appreciate any and ALL feedback

  • can anybody hear blu spitting over this when i listen i hear him its like a whisper

  • Wow. This so could be a Dilla Beat. Meant in positive ways ofc.

    No one else felt that?

  • voice of Amalia, portuguese "Fado" singer. great work beautif

    ul, cumpx from Portugal

  • @SUTURU

    Are you portuguese!?!?!?!?

  • I'm sorry i'll rephrase: How can you call yourself portuguese!? This is not Amalia! You ever heard Amalia's songs!? Do you even know how she sounds? this is Mariza!

  • @BaptistaRap you're right lo0ll foi um lapso meu!!!!!

  • 3:48 sounds like a loop from Raymond Scott

  • fuckin dope

  • heyy he did mariza

    thats real nice..

    word. UP. EXILE

    NICE

    PURE EPIC.

  • Posted in order... yeah the words to this song are exactly how I've always felt. Odd? Nah, I figured it would come to reality eventually.

  • Our word "lord" is a bit misleading. In the begining the Lord said to himself "Get lost man", and uh, he disappeared from sight, and he became all of us. The quest for liberation, the quest for deliverance from thinking that you are just you. And not realizing our flaw in who we are. We're all in a trance, we're all spell-bound, under a certain type of thinking. Which makes us just like hypnotized chickens with their noses to a white chalk line, they can't get up.

  • good point

  • So, in the same way, that white chalk line coresponds to the ego. Each one of us thniks "I am I", we've been told so, we've been educated that way since childbirth. So we think "I am I". Not this I that we think we are, but that I which is... ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-ev-everything.

  • if anyone's wondering, that man talking in the beginning is Alan Watts the philosopher.

  • soo goood <3

  • awesome ....marisa vocal sample ...pretty dope .

  • Scienze killed this beat

  • they shouldnt let anyone rap over this cos this shit cant get better!!

  • Wow. Sex.

  • This shouldn't even have a dislike option.

  • ALAN FUCKING WATTS!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • such an ill beat

  • "That self-same Brahman created the Universe out of Himself",

"This world verily is sound" -Upanishads

  • fado..lol

Exile: "oh uh.. it's nothing man, just some throwaway shit, don't even bother listening to it. Let's get back to work"

  • Benevolent soul the audio clips in this song are from alan watts........... a profound man. Enjoy!

  • can someone tell me where the beginning sound clip is from? and the others if possible

  • @ tphoyas and coolinOntheCorner88: You guys make me wanna semi-poop on a priest, but never-the-less seem to have a decent head on your shoulders about hip-hop. Thus, I must advise that you take a look at my channel. I've got oodles of underground hip-hop, and am always looking for more. The problem I have is my taste in music is VERY particular. BUT if either of you two should have a suggestion for something I might like then, by all means, please suggest away.

  • this album is like an homage to dilla in someways.. shit it even has the sirens at one point.

  • one love ............

  • exile is great :)

  • doooope.

I love how he connects his mpc to the radio..

Gonna try it out once i cop one (gettin it soon ;D)

    peace

  • i would love to see exile doing some bizz with kno and the rest of cunninlynguists.

shit would be off the top.

  • This track is a masterpiece

    such an intricate beat

    pure genius

  • eargasm

  • this beat is sick!! exile hit it out the park wit this one.. ima have to get this album

  • exile to me is better the jay dilla and black mile to me. I love all his stuff!!!

  • thats dope you think that.

it'll mean a lot to him if he heard someone say that.

  • Blu & Exile below the heavens is my favorite underground record of all time. I only wish they made it in vinyl, so I can spin it on a turn table.

  • Do you have the CD???

  • shh, you're never supposed to admit that, only think it

  • Exile is a massive dude, but not better than Dilla..nobody is bcuz nobody can be as versitile as Dilla...But it is your opinion.. But still Ex is def a killler

  • hes dope in his own way...RIP Dilla....and Black Milk is dope as well

  • @MoDizzle92377 it's your opinion...GTFO here...I mean, I like Exile, but he ain't in the same state as J Dilla! Dilla been running the undaground for decades! AND has commercial success to boot....

  • It is funny you took the time to visit this page to listen to Exile, but you disagree... Well if u do then tell me the last album j dilla completed and was it a classic? If u can't speak don't wasting my time with this weak arguement. If u get the change go and listen to "blu&exile-below the heavens" and leave a bad comment. wait better yet go on amazon and see how much the album is going 4. The last time I checked it was $200 used. if u ever want to buy mines copy I'll sale it to u... lol

  • @MoDizzle92377 I like Exile and he is up & coming. One of my favorite prod rite now.Love 'Below the Heavens'. But the Immortal J Dilla? Ever heard 'Donuts' or 'The Shining'? Dilla paved the way for the sound Exile is eating off of. Dilla never did the group thing, but u can stack his credits next to Exile's and it'll be like Mutombo standing next to you...Let's see how many Hip Hop stars pay homage to Exile when he's done. Since u wanna talk sales. Dilla selling tracks from the grave!!

  • *Just metioning that i didnt mean to thumb down "tphoyas". Ment a thumbs up. Sry... my mistake*

  • @tphoyas... listen man you obviously respect J Dilla, but you dont have the right to defend him if you dont really know what you're talkin bout. you say he never did the group thing... how bout Slum Village.. or The Ummah... or The Soulquarians. Dilla trumps Exile any day, but all your mans tryin to say is Exile's sound is comparable.

  • @coolinOntheCorner88 Aight now. Read the comments and you see I have MAD respect for Exile. As for Jay Dilla, to say he was AFFILIATED and/or PRODUCED tracks with these groups only REINFORCES my point. I'm fully AWARE of Dilla's many AFFILIATIONS. He did a whole album with Madlib. Does that make Jaylib officially a group? I see you flexin' ya knowledge, sun...I love BOTH of these guys' music...I got a right....

  • @tphoyas i wasn't suggesting that you weren't down with Exile, and no, Jaylib wasn't an official group, it was a colaboration. As for Slum Village, The Ummah, and The Soulquarians... J Dilla was a MEMBER of each of those GROUPS. That was my only point. You are obviously a fan of both producers, so I'll retract my statement, you do have the right. The fact is Dilla was in 3 different groups. Keep supporting real music man.

  • @coolinOntheCorner88 Now that's building....good to see cats passionate bout REAL music...just think, cats on another video beefing bout Lil Wayne's status in Rap history, and this here only got 21k views...

  • @coolinOntheCorner88 I know @ Soulquarians( Roots, E Badu, D'Angelo, Jill Scott etc) and Slum Village. From my understanding The Ummah was a collection of producers? I've seen production credit saying " prod. by J Dilla for the Ummah" . Who exactly was a part of the Ummah?

  • @tphoyas i think it was dilla and shaheed from atcq

  • @tphoyas the Ummah was a production collective including Q-tip, J Dilla and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Those guys produced some of the greatest beats of all time. by the way "Ummah" is an islamic word for community

  • @MoDizzle92377 Maybe in a coupla years...Dilla, like I said and maybe u don't know(obviously) been puttin down since the early 90s. I know good music is hard to find and when we find something new we jump to annoit the 'next' guy. I'm not hating on Exile though. I'm here cuz I LIKE dude sound...Ask him who's better or who his influences were. Betcha it's DILLA DOG...

  • @MoDizzle92377 lmao blu & exile for 2 bills must be a farce bid...what a dumb ass.

  • @sifuone I hope true Hip Hop doesn't become that hard to come by these days. Hip Hop just isn't the same as underground Hip Hop. Guest what, when they take are freedom of speech away all are Hip Hop is going to be underground.

  • @MoDizzle92377 Been bumping 'Below the Heavens' since the Summer, fam!! Been checking for Blu & Ex every since....don't get it twisted...U probably think Kobe betta than Jordan too. He may be...if he wins 2 or 3 more rings. Can't wait to hear these guys' next project. Peace, MoDizzle...

  • @MoDizzle92377 say that to Exile and he would prob laugh in your face. Even he would prob no that he isnt on the same level as Dilla. You obviousley havnt heard the stuff Dilla produced for other Artists!! Shocking comment!!

  • sorry its mariza´s voice ...

    i think NOT!!

  • beutifull sounds, wow

  • The rhythm tells a story. It doesn't need words. Can't you feel it?

  • BRILLLLLL

  • Ahahah it's funny to listen to samples in my language, althou it does sound kinda wrong lol

Exile ftw, fire track, fire album

  • This is amazing...

    I love.

  • somebody shuould rap on this anyway very nice !!!

  • these producers that come out with solo albums do it because they dont want someone rapping over their beat...this is meant to be listened to without some wack dude talking about his cars chains, or problems...this is all exile

  • Yeah i agree marky.i hate to say it but your right.

People just dont want to hear this kind of stuff and its a real shame!

this album is fyre and its not getting the exposure it deserves
