  • What kind of Low F whistles are they playing?

  • @macsalvi Chieftain/Kerry pro whistles.

  • @macsalvi McGoldrick often plays "Overton" whistles by Colin Hardie.

  • @thebun, Mike plays Kerry pros and Chieftains by Phil Hardy. Colin Goldie makes Overton style whistles under his own name these days. Both models do look similar as both makers learned from Bernard Overton, the original inventor of the modern low whistle.

  • Very nice. What is the make and key of the whistle please?

  • I think that the whistle maker of Mike's are Colin Goldie; I think that is a tunable Overton made by Colin, and its key is F. The other guy plays (I think) a Chieftain, tunable in F too.

    Cheers!

  • VERY IMPRESSIVE !

  • So incredible - saw these guys at The Arches in Glasgow. Quite simply the most astounding display of musicianship ive ever seen. great post!
