  • Guys the truck trailer forced the train to stop

  • I use to drive a big rig, I seem to remember a law that did not allow me to shift gears while crossing a railroad. Well, that was some 20 years ago.

  • I remember when i had to call my aunt and uncle and say "Your motor home is gone." she asked what happened and I told her "The engine stalled as I was trying to cross the railroad and wouldn't crank back up and a train was coming." the train was like half a mile away. When I noticed the train getting bigger rapidly, I was like "OH SHIT!" I jumped out and ran screaming and the motor home was carried a mile down the track. i thought my uncle was gonna kill me, but they were just glad I was alright

  • It knocked over the CrossBuck and the signal!

  • It's the blue car fault,,,,that bitch stopped, which made the truck driver stop.

  • this happened in my back yard

  • holy crap 0:21

  • hmz come to my room I'm all burning

  • poor signal

  • Spartan cab Dash 9!!!!

  • Thank God that he came out alive! He has been given another chance at life.

  • @my30inchdick Uh no tank weighs 67,000 tons, maybe 67 tons which is a lot less than a 3500-35,000 ton train.

  • That was the best train brake Ive ever saw!

  • i swear 70% of all people are stupid mother fucking dumb son of a bitchs like have the people who write these comments on here

  • dum ass stalled is the inablity to move the car or truck from its spot stupid son of a bitch mother fucker

  • Engineer saw that shit was going to go down, why didn't the truck driver see the same and run the fuck away?

  • what the fuck is with the terrorist writing

  • Man, the fuckin narrator is annoying, shut up and let us watch the video dick!

  • @voiceonthehill I guess there were other cars in fornt of him??

  • The driver is just lucky that the train hit his trailer mid way down - if it had hit the cab it would have been bye bye driver.....

  • How do vehicles always "stall" on the tracks when a train is coming? Is there some kind of magnetic property of the rails with a train nearby that renders a vehicle inoperative at that critical time? Makes it grind to a complete stop right on the tracks? Maybe it's the vibration from the train that shuts a car or truck down. Just saying many times the story is the car/truck "stalled" on the tracks.

  • @Nivicoman Some kind of magnetic property- no. "Stalled" might be a dumbed down term for- Driver stopped on the tracks. Sometimes drivers move onto the railroad crossing when the path is NOT clear ahead, or people stop in front of the guy. Also that particular crossing looks quite steep. the driver might have not seen/ignored the flashing red lights of the crossing. Or he could have slammed on the brakes too. Takes a long time to stop some of these semis sometimes.

  • @Nivicoman What usually happens is a brain-dead driver attempts to shift while crossing the tracks, blows his shift and comes to a stop. Next, train comes along before said idiot gets the vehicle moving and off the tracks and BAM! it's all over. I used to drive semi's across the country and was always amazed when I saw drivers not staying in one gear until their truck was across the tracks. Ugh!

  • Alright, is that much horn really necessary AFTER you hit the truck? Will the driver say "oh, NOW I should move."

  • ok seriously how many of idiots have any education. trains cant stop.yeah the engineer can hit the brakes, he probably did, after that all hes doing is sitting watching the train slide forward from momentum, 10,000 tonns just push the locomotive like a toy. all they can do is hit the horn and hope the people can clear the vehicle in time....

  • BITCH THIS IS MY RAIL ROAD I OWN YOUR ASS NOW

  • train 1 truck 0 train WINS!

  • Although this is not a humorous video, I do appreciate the engineer's use of the horn throughout the entire thing, including the collision. It's like, 'HEY BUDDY, HERE I AM!!!'

  • 6,000 tons = 12,000,000 pounds

  • powerrrrrr

  • the hogger isn't blowing the horn you strokes , that is just cheap sound effects. notice you can't hear the locomotives engines or the loco's bell ? or even the sound of screeching metal. and why shouldn't the engineer relax , he is only going 5 mph!! king of the road my ass !!

  • when i saw this on tv i was like

    WTF

  • get all those damn trucks off the road............there nothing but a nuisance

  • @hoppercar Amen

  • Hey mean you crashed my train

  • The same douche bag narrator stating that the truck was stalled, later said "this trucker learned the hard way that an 18 wheeler is no match for 12 million pounds of steel" ? What a dumb fuck!

  • @cst20396 He's right. Truckers are all taught never to stop on the tracks, or move forward until they can get all the way across. If he had been moving with enough speed to make it all the way across in the first place, then a stall wouldn't have caused any problems because he would have made it all the way across on momentum alone.

  • Yea, keep blowing the horn bumbass. That will help.

  • @cst20396 Yup. That engineer was definitely a dumb ass. If you look closely, you can see his arm casually resting on the window frame of the window where he is seated, like its no big deal to be hitting a truck.

  • What's with that Fuckin bullshit Jihadi writing on the video eh?

  • Thats karma bitch you cant fuck with no train, with that pussy truck

  • "Honey, I'm okay, but guess what happened to ME today? I'll give you a hint: my pants are really soiled and I need to see a doctor about my hearing."

But seriously, I'm surprised the train was able to come to a stop that quickly. probably saved the trucker's life.

  • did the driver at least go deaf??? i mean, jeez, does the engineer think the truck is still going to move by blaring the train horn at it while the truck is attached to the front of the train? durrh.

  • train eats truck but truck eats poles

  • Chuck Norris would have stopped the train

  • it was no ones fault the semi stalled ,

if you watch and listen to what the guy says, the semi stalled train cant stop , =accident ,

now if he were driving and driving accross with gates down and it happened then ya it would be the truckers fault now if the train is for some reason at a stop --they doe this in my town alot then take off when some ones on the track it be the trains fault

  • How did he miss the moment of impact???

  • it should be train vs truck vs rr signal

  • dont they know what the flashing red lights mean?

  • Anyone know what crossing this is at?

  • @rukusbmx I know right

  • why would the train driver keep giving the horn a blast. i think once hes actually hit the lorry its a bit late and he is fairly aware of what is goin on.

  • @rukusbmx Because he was pissed off. That truck driver will cost him delays and a lot of paperwork to fill out.

  • @nakayle If your gona give the horn a blast, you may aswel lean out the window and flip him off while shoutin W**KER to get the desired effect across.

  • I have way more sympathy for loose cattle on the tracks than truckers who bottleneck trains

  • hell if i drove a truck an it stalled i hink i would call and get way way the fuck back. lol. hell it takes more then a mile to stop a train. and no fucking way your going to push it. what a dumb ass to sit in his truck.

  • Dah, look a train!!

  • I would have thought the truck driver was suffering enough without the train blasting its horn in his ears continuously

  • @crudip Well trains HAVE to honk at railroad crossings! This was not a quiet zone so he had to Honk!

  • first of all, stop blaming the engineer you dumbfucks. second, quit complaining about the subtitles whiney little idiots. They're speaking English. Thrid, we are talking about a train that is much larger and atleast 5x heavier than a truck. The amount of freight it's carrying can alter how long it takes to stop the train.

  • Obviously he's still alive... Didn't even hit the front at all.

  • Why are there like taliban subtitles? no no.... i know its aribic.

  • @linvoyprimus73 that frieghtliner pull your little scania in half

  • @fj1764 truckers are a country's backbone get real! if it were not for truckers you woudnt have the plastic lady you do everynight because you cant get a real girl like the rest of us.<3

  • @Chrispy854 how do you figure?

  • this is from a programme called "worlds most amazing videos"

  • @joealonso89 Thank you!

  • et pilon to pa trouve cler kakaliki

  • I like how the train still continues to blow its horn: as to getting the truck driver to move out of the way after impact. lol

  • @321boileranimal good pint. you made me lol :D.

  • 32 people disliked this because yhey where driving there semi and a train hit them anyways cool.

  • "Engineers can hardly believe it when they discover the driver is still alive" Fuck off the train was doing about 20 mph when it hit and the cab of the truck was hardly dented

  • I read once that an optical illusion misleads ppl when facing a train. If the train is coming right towards you, your eyes make you believe that the train is farther and slower than it really is. So keep this in mind the next time you want to cross a railway.

  • I'm still surprised a 7 ton truck slowed down a 6000 ton train

  • @Anbidas125 at around 0:16 you hear screeching and then you hear a presssure release, like air being released. The train applied brakes

  • @Anbidas125 Well you got to think about when the train crew saw the truck they shot the Air which means the train brakes Went in to Emergency, So he was already in the process of stopping when he hit the train, But still a great video.

  • Why was the idiot still in the truck?

  • I can't imagine the cost of this accident.

    1 truck...1 railroad crossing...1 switch light...1 train....1 set of tracks

  • .. really? those people just drove off??? what jerks... they didn't even bother RUNNING over there to make sure the driver is okay. its just "woah that was cool. I got to go do more important things than make sure he is okay..."... douche

  • WHY DOES HE KEEP BLASTING THE HORN AFTER HE HAS HIT HIM ...is that for the extra fear factor?

  • Truck driver still alive and still looking for a job...

  • OMG, he would of died =3 :XD

  • This adds more proof to this theory I've had that if a semi gets hit by a train like that the semi usually isn't able to then just drive off no problem.

  • Lafayette IN Iis were i live

  • WeeeY WhaT A DouchEBaG

  • Why is it hard to believe the driver is still alive. The train was doing like 2 miles an hour and hit the rear of the truck. And why the f is there arabic on my screen.

  • @hotdad34 lol doin more than that maybe bout 40

  • @hotdad34 because it weighs so much and has so much force

  • Driver: I heard a honking sound so i was trying to move out the way

  • Norfolk Southern for the WIN!!

  • twelve million "pounds"? LOL i think it would be easier to estimate with "tons" at that mass

  • @AthensWarier21 this video has 2 fails!!

  • @AthensWarier21 There's just something sexy about six zeroes...

  • @AthensWarier21 they say its 6 thousand tons @ :15

  • why does the engineer keep honking the horn after they hit?

  • @tinsuj91192 i guess he was in complete shock, and didn't realize he was still honking.

  • @tinsuj91192 I'm guessing like in many videos the horn was added sound effect to sensationalize the film. It's like screeching tires on dirt and people yelling on the ground, but heard from a helicopter way up in the air. I'm sure they weren't actually playing that music there either.

  • @tinsuj91192 because they need to warn peepz that the crossings fell down and that the train could keep on pushing the truck farther

  • seen this on words wildst police video with sheriff John bunnel {ret}

  • @RoganStuart That would explain the fake sound effects.

  • Can hardly believe the driver is still alive? Be suprised if he got more than a bruise from that tbh.

  • er.., boss i am killed in a crash with a train

  • er.., boss i am killed

  • er, boss im dead

  • OMG get out of the way truck.. u know that one of my uncles studies trains

  • @voiceonthehill the truck stalled

  • Nasty. I will say that the locomotive shown at :18 is not the same one as the locomotive that slammed the truck; It appears there was some editing there. Just look at the cab position: :18 was cab rear.

Random, fast moving train footage was put in at :18 to give the impression that the actual train was flying down the track. Nonetheless, bad accident indeed.

  • @metroliner89 This was my grandfather in the semi driving...the truck was stalled! He couldn't get it to move. He survived and this was back in 92 I believe.

  • Hey boss, i need a new tractor

  • too bad for all the fricken immigrants in the back!

  • @Chrispy854 WHY DO ASSFUCKS LIKE YOU WATCH VIDEOS AND THINK ITS THE TRAINS FAULT! ITS YOU FUCKFACES WHO DRIVE OUT ON TRACKS STUPIDLY! THE BBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOM! ITS NOT THE FUCKING TRAIN DRIVERS FAULT!!!!!!!!! ITS YOU PEOPLE WHO DRIVE OUT IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING TRAIN THINKING ITS SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @metroliner89 and besides it takes a train a mile to come to a full stop

  • @Jatt1998 yeah!

  • @Jatt1998 depends on how fast he is going, and my guess, the engineer on this run probably shot the brakes, so the train was in emergency. Even if a train is travelling at high speed, it won't take it a mile to stop if it's in emergency.

  • @metroliner89 daaaamn haha

  • @metroliner89 your right you ppl think a train will stop for you your wrong it takes a mile or more to stop a train

  • @thehorseshoecurve

He probably knew that, but it ain't his fault that his truck stalled out, smartass.

  • @WarGuyFilms shut up you will probably go around the gates

  • @metroliner89

I love the way its the truck that Stalled Out, AKA unable to move.

It's the drivers fault that the truck stalled out, right, he was just trying to get over the tracks.

If you think its so fucking unsafe to drive over rail roads, you find a new way to get past the tracks and tell the people designing the roads your idea. Lets see how well that goes, dumbass.

  • @WarGuyFilms

I get that those huge trucks have like 250 gears so it might make sense they would be easy to stall while crawling over tracks. I wonder though, since the stalling thing is cited so often in car v. train collisions... How often do other vehicles actually stall anymore, and while already going forward? I imagine stall is just a polite way of saying suicide in most cases. I feel bad for the train crew though, what a paperwork nightmare even when nobody is hurt...

  • When the little bells are ringing and lights are flashing and in some cases a thing falls down. Then don't cross.

If you've crossed and your car stopped, then get yourself and everyone else out because that vehicle is not worth your life.

  • @dbor009:

Sounds just like him. He narrated the NatGeo Special about volcanoes, and it struck me instantly that it was the same voice.

  • For people wondering about the Arabic subtitles, Lafayette is directly across the Wabash River from West Lafayette, home of Purdue University, which is an international university with students from all over the world. So, it's probably used for the convenience of Arabic speaking students, of whom there are many.

  • The narrator did say that the truck was stalled on the tracks. It's not like the driver was being a dumbass, trying to outrun a train...

  • Soms wilde ik wel dat mijn fiets zo'n trein was, als verkeer mij geen voorrang geeft terwijl er haaientanden voor hun staan, dan rij ik gewoon door.:@

  • I'm sure thats the voice of Stacy Keach... the warden off Prison Break.

  • trucks are good brakes for trains. it stopped it in like 100 feet

  • shit

  • its elephant meets king kong

  • Who gave this Truck Driver licence to drive ?

  • @kprabha54 the truck was stuck on the tracks so it could not have been the driver of the truck

  • @kprabha54 some nut that thought he could drive worth jack squat

  • The engineer did great! he threw the train into "emergency" which puts every

bit of power in reverse as well as full brakes, and the train stops in an amazing

short distance! I've seen vehicles dragged a mile past a crossing by even slow

    moving trains.

  • @4freespeech Yes thats true. Some dude actually thought the diesel truck alone is what stopped the train LMAO! Ummm thats like saying a can under the wheel of a car can stop the car. LMAO!!!!

  • My question is this: why are the subtitles in that dog language from the middle east?

  • @Synrikeman "My question is this: why are the subtitles in that dog language from the middle east?"

You mean a language that is contextually superior and more eloquent than english is? The sister language of Aramaic that Jesus is thought to have spoke.

I don't know, try asking an Arab dude in person on the street exactly what you wrote above, and if you're still conscious and breathing, then I guess your question is answered.

  • @Jam1053428 nothing is superior about it. being the language of terrorists and all. besides I don't know any arabs i person, ( I don't want to be blown up by any suicide bombers and all that stuff.)

  • @Synrikeman "nothing is superior about it. "

Shows how stupid you are. The only terrorists I see are people like you with your ignorance that contributes to world violence. You think an F-16 dropping bombs on woman and children isn't terrorism? Life is a two way street. Educate yourself little boy.

  • @Synrikeman "besides I don't know any arabs i person,"

I figured, there probably isn't much around your trailer park judging by your ignorance. Keep your comments to yourself, because if you said that crap in front of me, I'd teach you some respect.

  • @Jam1053428 It's a simply typo. If you don't have the brains to figure that one out, maybe you should go stand in front of a train. Also, I think that our government should drop whatever bombs we have to stop you camel jockeys from trying to blow us up. You send little children off with bombs strapped to them. They are going to die anyways, why do you care if we help them do what they want to do anyways?

  • @Synrikeman You being a dumb ass is not a typo. I live in USA, just shows how stupid you are. Not all Americans are retarded like you are. In fact most aren't, try to remember that special little guy.

Sorry loser, but there is no evidence of any organized Muslims sending children off to die, but there is evidence of president Bush and Obama sending off 'OTHER" people's kids to die. You really aren't that bright are you...

At least we know now you support terrorism-bombs on woman/kids.

  • They can hardly still believe he is alive? It didn't even hit the cockpit, and it was already in the process of slowing down. The dude was fine...

  • why the fuck is there arabic on this english video????????

  • @bjsh55 look at the name of the person that posted

  • He was lucky to be alive!!!! Think what would of happened if the train was going 10 mph!!!!

  • oh so thats how you stop a train... I always thought it was a penny on the track

  • 12 million pounds! Usually on the road, we imagine cars being pushed around by us, as truck drivers...lol...it's weird seeing a truck being treated like a bit#&!...lol..

  • Someone needs to tell that engineer how it works: Once you've already splintered an 18-wheeler, might as well stop honking the horn. He knows you're there at that point!

Cool vid though. I love unbridled destruction.

  • I'd be terrified too if a 12 million pound freight train was on a collision course at me.

  • and the driver barely survives a 30 mph hit from a train LMAO they always make things seem worse then it is

  • "Engineers can hardly believe it when they discover that the driver is still alive."

...really? Because from this video it seem to cause much damage to where he was sitting. Im sure he got a bit of a shock, but I would be surprised if he was hurt. Theres no way that killed him unless he whacked his head against something really really hard. TV over dramatize things too much.

  • @LotusDragon09 didnt seem*

  • @LotusDragon09 Well, the train impact could have thrown him out of the truck, leading to his death. What I want to know is what was the driver still doing in the truck with a train coming.

  • @jasondh22 I would say he probably didnt realize it was about to hit him, but how could he not? Especially with the piercing loud horn. Well whatever. At least he wasnt hurt. Now he will hopefully pay more attention to things.

  • @LotusDragon09 Right now I'm watching a train wreck on it's own: the movie 2012. What an awful movie.

  • @jasondh22 It looked way too over dramatized and "actiony" in the trailor, so I didnt bother watching it.

  • @LotusDragon09 Wise decision. There's no plot and it's far too overdramatic and unrealistic. I'm having trouble staying awake.

  • I can tell you guys that God was watching out for this truck driver about a couple years ago there was a 21 year old lady that was attending school at South Dakota State. I didnt know her at all but all my friends knew her she was driving her car southbound on a county road west of Arlington South Dakota. She hit an eastbound freight train between the first and second engines and the train was moving at 40 mph she died on impact.

  • Sup Train names Truck

  • @NitroReviews names frieghtliner :D

  • don't fuck with trains!

  • honestly.. its no miracle that the driver survived

  • this , isn`t real ....

  • When I was a teenager, my Dad said many times, "In case of a tie, the train wins."

  • ok i operate locomotives and it just looked faster than 5mph. Id like to download the event recorder

  • your mommy is a fake and gay....
