  • this two exercises are awesome!

I have a disk prolapse in the lumbar spine and the doctor told me to do selective weight training to strengthen my lower stomach and back musculature. So those muscles should support the spine and take some pressure off the disks and promote a better posture.

My back pain indeed declined but I still had pain going down my right leg which didn't let me walk without pain. Since I'm doing this exercises the leg pain is also gone! thx man!

  • Is there a variation on the second exercise that can be done by people who can't get on their knees? I would be crippled for weeks if I put weight on my knees. Thanks.

  • Quick question, should we feel the lower back working with the exercice on all fours ? I REALLY feel it in my abs, probably the TVA, but not really feel it in my lower back muscles.

  • Good video, how do you feel about doing this these exercises in standing?

  • Great job as always Sam.

  • good video. but the first exercise i think is more activating the m.quadratus lumborum.

  • Excllent video, keep up the good work.

  • Stuart McGill "Ultimate Back Fitness and Performace" cover multifidus well too. Those who dig intellectual stuff (to support this video), check it out! Also, you MUST check out "The Mulitfidus Back Pain Solution" by Jim Johnso $12.95

  • Thanks a lot man I thought this was a great video.

  • @wttlawrence29,

    Thanks!

  • An intelligent explanation and great help. I have an herniated disc and it helps to ease the pain. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us. Francoise

  • great video, excellent information. i am sure that whoever wants to improve his low back health this is a terrific point he can start.

  • Great exercises. I suspect many car accident victims(even minor accidents) have problems with the mutifidi, caused by the unexpected jarring of the spine.
