  • But instead of an huge photo camera attached to the helmet, it is something smaller

  • 1:16 looks just like we are watching German soldiers from the 2nd world war ^^...

    ...That's cool

  • Also you can check out 00:52... some major editing going on as the the boy on the what looks like M249 cracks a smile...

  • That and if you listen at 00:36 one of the guys says "Live Fire" and I don't ever remember those words every being said during a fire fight... Or that command ever having to have been given... When shit went down our Sergeants never had to say "live fire" to let us know it was okay to use live rounds lol

  • Personally I know in my experience in fire fights there was no smiling and winking at each other as seen in this video. secondly the ridge line over looking yall got a fuck you package. So in my mind if that ridge line got a fuck you package from the air boys then their had to be combatants up there, and if there was combatants up there all that section would all be KIAs with how exposed yall are. Looks like target practice to me. Did more of that then actual fighting.

  • @bostonpatriots419 I was just saying they were fighting like real champs out there. and yes your right video games can't emulate real life scenarios such as combat.

  • Rangers?

  • @CoD5number1fan No. 4th Inf. Div. Probably 1st BCT. Our military has more than Rangers & SEALs. Video games aren't real.

  • God bless our troops

  • Well no kidding the Taliban aren't out in the open, that's a stupid braindead videogame tactic. You'll most certainly get shot before you hit anything.

Hiding behind rocks, plants, trees, man-made walls and other objects is the only way to be safe. And you CAN stick an AK-47 barrel from behind something and shoot, only exposing your upperface/head area.

It's NOT like Call of Duty, they won't come within more than 200yds if they don't have too. Thats why they use mortars and rockets.

  • sometimes all the soldiers see is a mussel flash

  • RAW!

  • Good footage

  • @airbornerecon100 ok thanks, I just wasn't sure.

  • At around 0:52 through 0:56, those little whizzing sounds, I'm assuming those are bullets going by? Just wondering.

  • are people seriously complaining about the camera shots? if u want to see the enemy then go there n see them..

  • Is the guy who took this video infantry or a 25V combat documentation/production specialist?

  • while u r sitting playing COD saying: " OMG I GUNNA JOIN ARMY CUS ITS SO COOL!" these people are bleeding, exploding, crying. so take a time to realise whats really happening

  • @uhuju1

hell ya bro thats good keep to your dream!

  • @AmphibiousReconMSOB what? lolz

  • @Rotemetoot Camera men have been involved in wars before the videos were being shown to the mass public. The main reason for them being there is for training and documentation of the war, not for us to watch on youtube and bicker about. anyways, if you don't like the video, the content or how its being filmed than just dont watch it. It's fairly simple, but then again i dont think YOU really understand.

  • @JSLegoMaster ...doing anything of value. You want the footage...go get it.

  • @JSLegoMaster I am a Soldier...and have run a LOT of time behind a camera for various news sources....you are an idiot as are those camera men who put themselves in danger for a shot. They often get in the way of those who have to protect them. We had an inbedded camera man get stuck in a crossfire because he wanted a shot. Guess who had to get him...not other camera men....SOLDIERS. He was a liability and sent packing back to the UK the next day. STFU. You sit behind your keyboard instead....

  • @MAOfights Life is such, not we such. you there as body-guards appears. God with him, let that shows that took off.

  • @JSLegoMaster "Its worth the risk to get great fotage"...

Sorry but that is easy to be said in your chair... I don't know if you would have the same opinion when you are there...

  • at 54-55 seconds you can hear bullets whizzing by or is it something else

  • Respect from Finland. You are doing this work for all of us.

  • @JSLegoMaster you can't hear round impact but at the 53rd/54th second you can hear them whizzing over head....beautiful feeling being in that.

  • You dont see a single enemy in this vid, only ameicans shooting. How come you never, never never ever see the enemy on camera in american war fotages?

  • @JSLegoMaster If you can see the eneemy, they can see you, and the camera person would then be in a bit of jam don't ya think? Combat Camera people have a hard enough time not getting killed, trying to film the enemy would make it even easier to get shot or killed. Thats why you don't see the enemy in MOST footage. Also the blood and gore factor is not well liked on YouTube, although it depends on who you are and why your posting it sometimes I think.

  • @3rdID8487 that's not true at all. you can see the enemy and he can be totally oblivious. not to mention an apache can see an enemy and they won't even know what hit them. they make helmet cams and cameras that get mounted on the top of tanks... so it is VERY possible to see the enemy.

It's just that the majority of soldiers who capture this footage are rarely in close combat. These middle eastern wars are like fighting ants in an ant farm.

  • @wdmnetwork Whats not true? I am talking combat camera not helmet and weapons mounted cams. Have lots of those videos if you want to watch. Search "gun camera footage". I am talking about people filming with a handheld camera. Nothing I said is not true.

  • @wdmnetwork Afghanistan isn't in the middle east.. its in Central Asia

  • @wdmnetwork dude the apaches are usally a couple of miles away from what their shooting

  • @3rdID8487

Seen it 3 times now and can´t hear any enemys shooting at you........

    Why call it "return fire"?

  • @JSLegoMaster beacuase the filmer isnt tryin to get blown up or shot standing up filmin the enemy, and because they enemy is always hidding in fear and shooting from dense cover where they are not "clearly" visible. stop doubting everything...theres something called "surpressive fire."

  • @JSLegoMaster

also, taliban like to engage from long range, on your pc screen they wouldnt even take up a pixel.

  • @JSLegoMaster if you pay attention you can hear bullets wiz by as they are getting shot at

  • @JSLegoMaster also, about 95% of the fire fights that happen in war are not face to face like you see in the movies and video games, theyre usually really far away from each other. thats why when people ask soldiers if theyve killed somebody (which you really shouldnt do and i dont know why people do it all the time) they usually say something like "i dont know. i shot at them but theres always so much fire that its hard to tell".

  • @JSLegoMaster If you listen closely at 0:55 u can hear the crack of enemy fire and rounds whistling over head

  • @JSLegoMaster If you think running for 12 minutes at altitude would be a solid judge of how good a Soldier I am.....bring it. I run at altitudes frequently, and for much longer than 12 minutes.

I also guarantee you that I can lead Soldiers and Soldier better than you.

  • @JSLegoMaster i bet they were shooting at squirrels

  • @JSLegoMaster 1:05 is why you don't see them. I'm no scientist but I beleive it's called evaporation.

  • @JSLegoMaster cuzz youve played to many pc war games

  • @JSLegoMaster plus its not a matter of seeing the enemy. in afghanistan the taliban or AQ are very effective in concealing themselves such as pouring water in front of a tree that splits so they place the gun there and the water [revents dust. or in some cases putting a blanket in front of some hole just big enough for a PKM barrel to fit through and unload in the direction of the soldiers. pus in this video you may not see the enemy but if you turn your volume up you can hear the incoming fire

  • @JSLegoMaster The enemy is almost NEVER very close, and it's not like they run out in the open. They hide behind windows and walls, because like a normal sane human being they don't want to get shot. And they might pop up from 400yds away for 2 seconds and shoot in the general direction of the US soldiers, but that's it. Thats why they use mortars and rockets, because they would die if they had to be within 100yds in an open firefight.

Remember, the Taliban are not the best trained soldiers.

  • @JSLegoMaster It's probably because of cameras themselves. The human eye could probably be able to make out a human figure at whatever distance these guys are shooting but I think just the way camera lenses are that just makes it hard to make out smaller objects at a distance. But that's just my opinion.

  • @JSLegoMaster Because they are hiding like bitches!!

  • @JSLegoMaster have you ever seen how small a person looks on camera at 400m ? take that into consideration and not to mention they are getting shot at the enemy is probably keeping his head down

  • @JSLegoMaster If you can see the enemy on this lo-res cam...you're in range dipshit. Trust me. they are there and they are real....you wanna meet the boogie man....enlist.

  • @JSLegoMaster the taliban like to fire from far away most of the time ive heard, and you cant show death of people on youtube

  • @JSLegoMaster Most engagements in Afghanistan are beyond 500 meters

  • @JSLegoMaster Because most of the combat in there is more than 500 meter, thats why weapons had scopes, and a hand camcorder does not have one, this is nothing, compare with the Kandahal region, scopes: ACOG, CCO. and other high resolution Scopes are use on 50 Cal,MK19, 249, and 240. u dont see them, they dont see us but we do....

  • @JSLegoMaster Shut up lego boy, have you ever been over there and seen the enemy? are you a camera man? this is high fighting which means the camera probs wont even pick up the enemy cause they are soo far away

  • @JSLegoMaster because it is the american way, shooting the air. Dont you know that the new war is about americans against terrorist air?

    Down with air!

  • @JSLegoMaster Your an idiot. Sorry this isn't like the movies. This warfare is totally different then say battle strategies used during WW2 or Vietnam. The enemy today is a bunch of cowards. They are constantly moving. We only engage when we are fired upon. Most of the time you will not see the enemy in MOST CASES not ALL, so don't take that wrong. You shoot at the direction you are being shot at. Totally different battle...

  • @JSLegoMaster Also, it's not the best quality. so if they did film down at the enemy, odds are you wouldn't see them anyways, but i've noticed the same thing

  • HOOAH DOGFACE!!!:))

  • More bombs, less bullets.

  • GET SOME!!!!!!!

  • 0.56. you can hear 2 bullets flying by :o

  • is this u video taping it?

  • Lets just nuke the country

  • my husband is fighting over there for the u.s and to keep up to date all we get here in Australia is very minimal only what we get here on you tube,he was injured and now waiting to here more word to how injured he is and all i can say is thank you for showing us some footage of what they really go thru, we may hear what they go thru but to see it is different pls keepem coming, and pls just support the troop

  • @mrsjazza1 That's because the majority of Australians know our troops were sent over under false pretenses, and that we shouldn't be there fighting for something that doesn't exist so there's not much in the media. I hope your husband makes a speedy recovery and our troops eventually come home safe and sound. Best of luck.

  • I've been scouring internet for footage like this. The media has gone to sleep. In Australia we only get occasional casualty reports and that's it. No progress stories, no "life on the ground investigative reports". In footage so far, the camera shows allied troops but never the Taliban in fire fights (obviously would increase risk to camera crew). It makes it difficult to estimate range. The skirmishes seem mostly long range even though the Carbine is seeing a lot more action than sniper rifle

  • what does RAW stand for.

  • @ultimatebrad1999 Nothing, it means It hasn't been tampered with. It doesn't stand for anything, it's not an abbreviation.

  • wheres your squads sniper? he would make quick work of those cowards.

  • @RussianSnipeU cowards? you ca11 pop1e who defend their own country cowards.you sir are a foo1

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones its debatable what they are fighting for. some say for idealistic beliefs of a society where they can stone women for refusing arranged marriages, cutting people's limbs off for stealing an public executions. They aren't defending it because the U.S. is not trying to take the country and keep it for themselves in an imperialistic manner. Its more a fight for power over the country. the towel heads wanting their idealistic society and the U.S. wanting democracy.

  • @RussianSnipeU you still believe that shit? waw....have been hiding under a rock for the last 8 years, wake up bozo

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones Last i checked the Talivan wasnt the official army of afghanistan.

  • @RussianSnipeU are they fighting on behalf of Ford transits then?? ...just a little joke there to lighten the mood

  • well I am a 92Y in the Army and i am actually deploying out so its great to have people see what we go through and what we do for them to keep them safe.

  • I wish your videos had more views. I think it says a lot about our country that they don't.

  • @brandonmika74 Thats why I keep putting them up, once and a while I think someone that needs to see them happens by. Thanks for stopping by, just spread the word. :)

  • Mujahideen use U.S. weapons to kill American soldiers and the U.S. made weapons to be sent to Afghanistan to donate to the mujahideen

  • yeah this is so RAW

  • thats war?... thats nothing like cod XD

  • @fastdude505 nerd

  • 100-150 metres is roughly the lenght of one city block. That is not very far.

  • Nice video. But how far is the enemy?

  • @beerborn I would think they are far, maybe 100-150 meters. Thats probably the common range of engagement. The footage isnt the best quality (few are) so we cant see if the soldiers are shooting at the distant figure of an insurgent or maybe a muzzle flash in a bush.

  • @TheCptkrunch13 100-150 meters....in Afghanistan? No.
