Anyone who compares Planetside to CoD2 or BF2 is missing the point. PS adds strategic, tactical and team based elements that the other two just pretend to have. And it does these very well. There is even a role play element to it.

I was a long time Planetside player, and it was unreal! 300 player battles, three factions, one base to get the whole continent and lock it down.... What great memories. The expansion blew chunks and looked horrible. After that, they added BFRs which also blew... So far it looks to be true to the original with none of the bs from the expansions. Good move getting back to the roots! I spent 12-16 hours at a time trying to conquer the world for a day... Great fun. I was a br20, cr4 before I left,
@iamseer congratz i was an original PS player. I agree it had mechanics different from every game. 40 person air raids. Armor conveys running all over the continents. I agree to that the expansions killed the game too, i hated the caverns and BFR's where to over powered but to easy to kill. But i am excited for this new one and hoping they will stick to the normal game mechanics and keep the game original. Br 20 cr2, sniper.
This looks like the most amazing epic battle multiplayer game ever. As far as actually achieving something and operating in a major fassion. Other than the typical death match, CTF, and that other crap that every single multi player game has. I really love the idea of 100-500 players on both sides going at it in full scale warfare. Badass!!!
Let's hope they don't wind up screwing the balance AGAIN and making the VS vastly inferior, whilst every smurf and Terran runs around with their insta-kill heavy weapons.
Hopefully SoE won't fuck this game up. I am looking very forward to this title and so are my guild/outfit. Lets just pray SoE finally makes a great game that they don't eventually ruin.

The reason everybody is purposely missing their target is probably because the death animations haven't been programmed into the game yet. @0IIIIII get a copy of windows and look up bootcamp on your spotlight. It allows you to divide your hard drive into Mac side and Windows side. I use it on my mac, it works quite well and runs windows at native speed.

@TheSUBGAMER Anyone who thinks any MW or even CoD game is challenging needs to be introduced to Tribes Ascend or Section 8: Prejudice. And for the love of at least pretending you have a brain, learn proper grammar. Nobody here is your son and god forbid you actually have one. @TheSUBGAMER Actually no, I rushed around in planned routes picking off the usual headshot streak and to all the favorite sniping positions. I had one of the best KDRs in the game. Thing is, it was too easy. Your comment on Tribes Ascend shows all you did was watch a video or you would know how much skill it takes to get DIRECT hits. Either way your attitude and lack of etiquette or grammar makes me feel I'm talking to an elementary-school dropout. I refuse to talk to you again, DNR.

I was a long time Planetside player, and it was unreal! 300 player battles, three factions, one base to get the whole continent and lock it down.... What great memories. The expansion blew chunks and looked horrible. After that, they added BFRs which also blew... So far it looks to be true to the original with none of the bs from the expansions. Good move getting back to the roots! I spent 12-16 hours at a time trying to conquer the world for a day... Great fun. I was a br20, cr4 before I left,

@iamseer congratz i was an original PS player. I agree it had mechanics different from every game. 40 person air raids. Armor conveys running all over the continents. I agree to that the expansions killed the game too, i hated the caverns and BFR's where to over powered but to easy to kill. But i am excited for this new one and hoping they will stick to the normal game mechanics and keep the game original. Br 20 cr2, sniper.

This looks like the most amazing epic battle multiplayer game ever. As far as actually achieving something and operating in a major fassion. Other than the typical death match, CTF, and that other crap that every single multi player game has. I really love the idea of 100-500 players on both sides going at it in full scale warfare. Badass!!!

Hopefully SoE won't fuck this game up. I am looking very forward to this title and so are my guild/outfit. Lets just pray SoE finally makes a great game that they don't eventually ruin.

another desperate video from SOE to try and catch our attention. The reason everybody is purposely missing their target is probably because the death animations haven't been programmed into the game yet. Not a single fighter dies in the trailer. just a bunch of poorly animated running and half finished vehicle models firing blanks at each other... oh AND a lot of explosions. thanks for showing us nothing SOE.

@0IIIIII get a copy of windows and look up bootcamp on your spotlight. It allows you to divide your hard drive into Mac side and Windows side. I use it on my mac, it works quite well and runs windows at native speed.

@0IIIIII Yep, remember the battles we used to have in PlanetSide 1. Many had upward of 400 people duking it out. Totally epic contests which would literally last a couple of hours just to cap a base or get over that strategic bridge. Most fun I've had in a game.
