I believe it is an old idea.Second thing is,I don't think that such a concept is economical.Third thing is,it is good to use this kind of stuff to run a small fan, charge a cell phone or charge other small things like them but it is not feasible to run Iron,TV or other appliances which require 220 volts. So it is not feasible to overcome electricity crisis.Things like this are good for kids to use but can not be applicable at large scale.I am afraid either it can make 1MW or not.
we could use it on our shore we would not have to setup a channel like hydro nor do we have to set up big foundations to hold the poles like Wind mill, we just have to strip them to the shore and connect them to the power distribution. keep up the good work
you got to commercialize this stuff man, its damn awesome for Pakistan, Pak Gov. should subsitize it if they have to, Good work. i hope you get some kind of funding to implement this stuff on a big scale
ratta acha nahi tha, you should've focused less on the fake accent, and more on actually understanding what you were saying. Don't take me wrong, i'm just saying the presentation could've been a LOT better :)
Could have done better ... poor presentation..... now a days, presentation is everything... could have shown a prototype of a commercial device with proper shape or presentable look instead of showing a chipboard ... I've seen grade 8 students better than this ...
No wonder we gets such comments that Pakistan has poor education ... still good effort. especially @ 0:25 seconds ... saabjeecttt :D lolzzz ...
it's not cost effective.. Hydroelectricity in Northern Areas is the cheapest source of electricity with a potential for over 60,000 MW. Coal is also an option for a sustained supply of 60,000 MW over more than a century. Pakistan just cannot afford bringing in the new high-tech alternative sources yet n there is no need as well when we have so much potential in the already present resources.
come on man every thing which producing power is gonna fade out its enoughness just look at Gasoline once people thought we got the power solution now world is about to run out these stuff. God knows whats gonna happen when Water wars are gonna start they actually are in the form of cold wars (e.g. Pak vs Ind) then these engery producer will be the way to go.
so man encourge new stuff and try to think how they can be made cheaper, the Guru point in this is people may lessen walking but the motion will never end up and it and mobilation can produce this power what a scope this concept has. don't always wear a black cap.
@ladykiller8660245 ya not only bubble gummers from around decades ago but MIT students have long been using them in Africa n other places. Many of the Pakistani researchers on Energy Crisis have also considered it.
Hey everyone be easy on them.. they didnt say its their idea.. I know these people and basically they need to present an idea in the competition which can be implemented in PAKISTAN easily and is cost-effective..
Gud worK!!!! it can be upgraded by several options....main thing is to take initiative...though its a small step but in future it will prove to be a promising technology.
it produces very small amount of electricity.AND u cannot save PAKISTAN from energy crisis with small amount of electricity to light a small piece of shit LED....no offence but truth is truth
@shanikhan999 let me guess.. wht do u use in the dark when the electricity goes off?? those *small* LED emrgency lamps. so, SOMETHING is betr thn NOTHING.. secndly, u didnt get the exact point of the video.. just sit fr a secnd and total the amount of energy produced if millions of people walk everyday wearing those shoes. IMMENSE. my msg to all.. we need to think logically not pacisimistically to find solutions to any of our problems. a betr aproach to achieve success in any aspect.
@blessme32 so why use piezoelectric material which is expensive and difficult to find , when u hv AA batteries (cheap and easily available) to light LED at dark .and when light is off one is gonna pick his shoe in hand (disgusting) and use it as emergency light. I mean c'mon it is nt making any sense. I think u guys hv nt worked thoroughly on ur idea......
@shanikhan999 you might be right they produce less energy but i must rectify u here my firend! the piezos u knw are form sound systems and speakers used just for changing logic signals from 0 to 1! but piezoelectric materials are fabrigated at laboratories. so it all depends on how u are making them! there are piezos (piezoelectric strips) even commercially avialable which when used give enormous ammount of energy. this is already tested at dance clubs.
@29nasa ok.so this idea is already existing in the world(dance clubs). So let me guess u r stealing idea.GIST(global innovation.....) where is innovation now, something new, creative is innovation and u guys are picking ideas from internet, this is absolutely nt fair.
@shanikhan999 i already asked you for first going and doing a web survey! go and read how business competitions work! i can not teach you every single step like a child here!

@29nasa ok. and i would suggest u to make more search on internet and pick some more nice ideas of others and pretend them to be ur creative and innovative ideas.
@shanikhan999 I sincerely respect your opinions; however, I must say that it is not good practice to discard a possibility just because of what you think... You should give it a chance, because you never know where the solution to your problem may lie... :)

we cant make up the electrical shortage by placing piezos in shoes of 17 crore Pakistanis :)
