Exactly. On the transcript, it would read: "Governor, John McCain and you are now..." So he wasn't referring to McCain as a Governor, he was addressing Palin formerly. It sounds confusing since Governors don't tradittionally use dimorphous titles (Mr. Governor, Madame Governor)...

Kept her kids out of school throughout the campaign to use them as stage props. Her 14 year old and her 6 year old belonged in school. Her 17 year old daughter is a high school drop out and an unwed mom. And instead of spending the first crucial months of her special needs son's life taking special care of him, he jetted her around the country where he can't sleep through roaring, screaming crowds, flashing lights and no home base.

It's true that Palin was far less educated on policy issues then needed, but I wouldn't call her a "dumb@ss." She was simply what the GOP viewed as the best choice to improve McCain's chance of winning. Obviously she wasn't ready to be VP, but she still has time to change that by working hard and learning from her mistakes.
Personally, I didn't vote for Obama/Biden OR McCain/Palin. Neither party represents the average American anymore, and we need a radical change in government. Go Independent!
