Fanime is the awesomest con out there, but ackson is crippled a bit by the venue as there are no really beautiful places to film (aside from the fountain). so i'm glad you drove up the road to SF and got some good views. i think the singing detracted a bit from the scope and grandeur of the cosplayers and locations though.

It's a good concept, but the girl who was Ranka really didn't move well at her. Her improv was stiff and repetitive; quite the opposite of the character who really expresses her joy of singing externally, and is free in her movement.

I generally enjoy your videos, but this one was actually... quite bad. Not the cinematography, but the production on this one as a while. First thing to note. Nakajima Megumi is only 1 of the singers in the @Formo version of What 'bout My Star. You really need to credit May'n as well. Which leads to, why is the Ranka cosplayer singing during the Sheryl parts, when you had a Sheryl in the video who could have sang those parts. I also wish you would have taken advantage of the SF setting. cont...

Macross F's setting is San Francisco. Places like Haight or Powell st's which have great focus points in the series could also have been used to make this really spectacular. Funny enough the Golden Gate is barely even shown in the series. But the biggest complaint is just... how un-ranka like the Ranka was. It really killed the cinematography by having such an awkward moving girl. Regardless, I look forward to your next video.
