Right, I have a question. I am looking at getting into filming and editing just as a hobbie, but don't know where to start at all. In fact I am confused as what you even use! Do you just use the same equipment (camera) you would for photography?!

yes u can film and take photos with most DSLR cameras today

and use the same cool lenses for Video and photography!

Anyway, just wanted to say I´m impressed with the video quality. I am looking for the most affordable DSLR Canon that can do video. How do you like the 600D vs, say, the more professional Canon line! Thanks for any info/help - cheers.

@youvexme hi pascal ..go for the 600D or the 60D ...unless u wanna shoot not cropped (volbeeld)

but i say the price diffrence between say a 7D or the 600D is huge...get a 600D +kitlens a 10-22 and a 50mm f/1.4 and a 15 - 85. its the lenses u use and the way u use em that will make it proffesional i say...

because soon I will buy a canon dslr to take astrophotos and I need to activate the shutter for more than 30 seconds. I know it'.s possible with a remote control ,but I don't know why we can't on the camera itself...(30 seconds max.)

Another question is why so many people say they the utility is not compatible with windows 7 ,company say it should work but in reality it does'nt ???

This is called shooting tethered Jacques =) It is a great piece of software isn't it. Great idea doing this video though fella I am sure lots of people are unaware of this fantastic little tool.
