I'd wager that if you went up to a channel executive with the aim of broadcasting CS or SC2, you wouldn't be able to garner enough local viewers to make it a viable investment.

@EthaanLive completely agree. I play both games, obviously not a professional level, but I played css for so long that cod is extremely easy for me. That said I still play css more than cod. I play cod with a group of friends that are ex-css players and we all rock high scores every game. I would say css has a larger learning curve and cod is more of a pick up and play, but at a competitive level you are playing against other people who stand out to be really good at the game.

The reaon why COD is such a widely hated game is pretty much becuse of COD 3 and any COD above and to any one that thinks COD 4 was slity skilled at stock should probably play checkers or something. COD 1 and COD 2 were absulute ledgonds. COD 1 being the best. The exact same goes for the CS series. The best for most was 1.6. Then cimes source and people seemed to not take kindly to GO. While I agree 100% with your argument, the game is not really a factor in people's aim. CS has a lot more long standing players who have trained their skills and put effort in, so even in pubs you get some reasonably skilled players, whereas CoD caters to different type of gamer who is more casual and laid back. My last 2 CoD months were spent playing Semi pro and we trained all the same aiming techniques with preaiming/recoil counter/mouse precision as you do in CS, but in CS it isnt an option

@op4hvk FPS is still played competitively on the PC due to the precision of M+KB, unlike what you said. MLG (consoles) just get more media coverage.
E-Sports won't get TV coverage outside of Korea until games and competitive games in particular become more embedded into modern culture and are taken seriously. I'd wager that if you went up to a channel executive with the aim of broadcasting CS or SC2, you wouldn't be able to garner enough local viewers to make it a viable investment.

Lol I'm a CoD player but I agree with this video I used to play CSS and CS before i moved onto CoD one main reason was that everybody i know plays on xbox 360 and they dont have the money to buy an Alienware so i couldnt play with anyonel. @EthaanLive completely agree. I play both games, obviously not a professional level, but I played css for so long that cod is extremely easy for me. That said I still play css more than cod. I play cod with a group of friends that are ex-css players and we all rock high scores every game. I would say css has a larger learning curve and cod is more of a pick up and play, but at a competitive level you are playing against other people who stand out to be really good at the game.

While I agree 100% with your argument, the game is not really a factor in people's aim. CS has a lot more long standing players who have trained their skills and put effort in, so even in pubs you get some reasonably skilled players, whereas CoD caters to different type of gamer who is more casual and laid back. My last 2 CoD months were spent playing Semi pro and we trained all the same aiming techniques with preaiming/recoil counter/mouse precision as you do in CS, but in CS it isnt an option
