I have recently been thoroughly harassed by a family member who is unitarian. They tried to perform an "intervention" hoping to prevent my baptism (to which faith is irrelavent). I was subjected to over an hour of hate speech. They showed a complete lack of understanding of my beliefs, continually saying I was "wrong" and that my faith of choice was essentially not "my choice". I came upon this vid while trying to understand where this hate and bigotry came from. I guess I'm not the only one.

Besides my own experience I have seen plenty of evidence of anti-Christian or more broadly anti-religious bigotry perpetrated by U*Us in all parts of America, to say nothing of other countries. No offense intended, but I just read wikipedia's description of this religion, and said religion seems to be the antithesis of any "cult-like witchhunt" behaviour. You should read more about this religion because they advocate ACCEPTANCE of all faiths, and HARMONY of faiths; it is the traditional religions which practice "witchhunting". I grew up in a Christian community and believe me, they were very intolerant of other faiths.

Probably not but it is just not practical in a lot of cases, especially when it comes to my protest. If I set up a camera on a tripod chances are pretty good that some irate Unitarian might knock it over or possibly even try to steal it. . .

I no longer have the little compact Canon camear that Ishot these videos with and gave my other compact digital camera to my nephew. Sold off my Nikon D90 recently to so I do not have video capability at the moment.

The "Church of the Immoral Majority" refers only to the Unitarian Church of Montreal not the whole UUA. This video and the others should give a fairly clear indication what happened but you may want to engage in a free and responsible search for the truth and meaning of what I am saying by running some appropriate Google searches and/or checking out The Emerson Avenger blog. The limited number of characters available for YouTube comments does not allow me to go into much detail here.

It is definitely not safe, according to the UUA's own definition of Safe Congregations, for me and other people within U*U congregations because both the UUA and U*U "churches" allow U*Us, including U*U clergy, to insult and defame and maliciously demonize other people with complete impunity. For example the UUA and MFC pretended that Rev. Ray Drennan's obviously intolerant and abusive attack on me was "within the appropriate guidelines of ministerial leadership". He never faced accountability.

I do understand getting upset over conflict with a specific person or group of people but I dont see this as any mature way to deal with engaging or being positive about what you wish to acheive. I can get some attenders or members maybe assholes but thats a fact in all groups and religious ones are no exception.
