I agree. You want to make a layout you know you will enjoy for years. My favorite idea is that if we build a layout, we will have a 4 foot high ravine off the floor!

@MTHTrainFanatic I really enjoy it all. I really love doing the scenery and the weathering. I am hold right now with the scenery part so I just keep plugging away at the weathering. I think the best is when you sit back after completing a project on the layout whether it be big or small and just say to yourself...Hey, I did that! You will enjoy it all buddy. I am sure of it. Going from carpet to benchwork makes your world much more accessible to creativity and I know you have that : )
