Good video. Not sure I've seen a video on thumbstuds before. My favorite type of TS is the slopped type found on the Kershaw Blur. There is more to a TS than just it's shape. Often a TS is too close to the scale. Another area of importance is the radius or the arc of the direction of the starting push. Some are straight up and some have more of an outward push. Sometimes the detent can be a hinderance to getting it started. Some TS are too tall preventing low angle sharpening.

Nice comparison. My SOG Flash2 works the best after I did some grinding to make more thumb space but I like the Blur's 45 degree stud the best =)
