  • This is magnificent! Very well done!

  • @HaxUnPeu glad you liked it, this is however an older video, I have improved my builds since then, feel free to watch some of my other Emperor videos

  • Oh my god, I didn't know people still played this awesome game

  • @ksuen106 check out some of my other emperor videos, not only do ppl play it, but we're still trying to find the best building strats for it

  • Very nice, tks

  • I preffer large rectangles and all house blocks together to simulate a single city with industry and commerce annoying people near the walls and farms at the outskirts. But why no cattle in this game? WHY!?

  • @fenrirgg check out someof my newer emperor videos, I have come up with better strategies than this, regarding the cows... dude I have no idea, ask the devs

  • @XfStef I saw the C block, is better haha.

I have a friend that loved Pharaoh, but he didn't like Emperor because the absence of cattle, is like something essential. I would have appreciated even pig or chicken farms.

  • @fenrirgg the farms in pharoh were pretty interesting, but the agricultural system in emperor is also pretty good, however I have no idea as to why livestock is missing from emperor.

  • @frailock6

If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Sorry, but I noticed that you are an asshole...

  • @frailock6 well this is a first, usually people comment about how calming I sound, well I can't please everyone

  • I am having some trouble with the houses deevolving because of lack of a diviner from the ancestral house visiting houses. Have you had the same problem with this housing community. I have only one ancestral house.

  • @wijse depending on the difficulty, it can happen, however it usually doesn't, make sure you have the roadblock and housing wall in place

  • @XfStef

can u start from zero ?

  • @ryouzai what do you mean exactly ?

  • @XfStef

i stuck @ Song - Jin Dynasty (Invasion from North)

How to rule 4 city, they begin war with me when i attack ChengDu

  • Why don't they make city-building games like these anymore?

  • Oh, and another question is, when i go to attack a city it says, "assign some compaines first!" Whats that all about?

  • @Guitarman0088 you have to click on the companies in the list, so that they are enlisted

  • Is that paper for the tax collecter? If so, can't you use wood?

  • @Guitarman0088 it depends in which age you are, if it's bronze and iron(I think) you use wood, if it's steel age then you need paper

  • what do you mean by you people???!! :D:D

  • @TheVrael lol that's a good question, you do know it's been more then a year since i've made that video, I have no clue what I was on about in it, except that it was for emperor :P

  • @XfStef haha dude it was a joke :D i am not even black or anything :D

  • @TheVrael :P thanks for watching though

  • lol used to play this game ages ago

  • Two mills? I usually build one mill than set up a warehouse next door devoted to food. (As a warehouse, by default, accepts everything BUT food, this means changing every option in the warehouse's properties.) The warehouse will top off the mill as soon as the market buyer leaves. It holds just as much food as a second mill, but is half the price, requires 10 fewer employees and uses 16 fewer titles.

  • @mxg75 that is also a good solution, I just don't like seeing food in storage yards, it's a personal thing, anyway you should check out some of my newest emperor videos, as I have developed a much bigger housing block a week ago, and I'm also posting a gameplay series on how to build a noble housing block.

  • i dont know why but my mills keep callopsing and i dont know why help

    me please

  • @gangstaman024 did you connect them with roads ?

  • @XfStef Is it important to have guard towers in a city? I never have those and I don't know what are they for if your people are happy and they don't generate crime..

  • @Charruaaa1010 I think they also help protect against spies in multiplayer games... although I'm not 100% sure, since you can protect against spies by yourself, by clicking on them when you see them :)

  • @XfStef dude I'm using your strategy of house building and I have a population of 18000 and I can build like up to 22000 thanks!!

  • @Charruaaa1010 lol ... hehe I think you've beaten my records, but then again I never tried to reach real high population numbers, I am considering doing some elite housing tutorials as well, maybe a gameplay series, maybe I'll have time for that

  • @XfStef hehe in the map Juchenguenshi or sth like that its very big

  • @Charruaaa1010 they also prevent buildings like trade centers from collapsing

  • @gangstaman024

place a inspector's tower near the mill. every building should be placed near a inspector's tower or it will collapse.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only guy that still play this game sometimes.

  • That's a really good housing block, but I have one question- how consistent is it? Like, do you ever have to run back to check up on it because of random unknown poipulation drops because of walker stupidity?

  • @caocaothedeciever from my tests, if you are constantly supplied with everything they need, it runs perfectly even on the hard difficulty, what you saw at the beginning of the video with those houses was because that block was built just before the save game occurred

  • @XfStef I see. Maybe you can give me a hand then? I built my housing block exactly the way you did, and I have more than enough food supplies, the mill is close, etc. However, my market buyers aren't buying food as fast as my population is eating it- and I have plenty of food in the mills, I'm overstocked! Any advice? It's driving me mad xD

  • @caocaothedeciever if you have too much salt or spices they won't be eaten, you should have at least 2 types of main foods ;)

  • @XfStef That's what I have, I have meat, wheat, soybeans and rice. I'm debating if I should have two markets in the block.

  • @caocaothedeciever if you don't have tea you could use the empty space to place 2 food vendors

  • is this as good as zues? i really liked that game, but there is only so muhc mileage i can get out of it

  • @B00012393 well it's got heroes that you can summon to your city, it's got a complex military system, farming and goods production are a bit more complicated then in zeus, and you do get to build the teracota army, the great wall, and massive water channels, so I think emperor is just a bit better then zeus ;)

  • @B00012393 I find it way better then Zeus. Tastes differ however.

  • awesome thx playing this, pharoah and zeus atm lol. best city building games though. thanks for the block

  • how come u dont need music/acrobat/drama schools? is it cuz theres the market square already?

  • @gkaehdgns I do need them and use them, but I don't build those inside the neighborhood, since musicians, acrobats come from the spawn buildings all the way to the market center, which provides entertainment for all of the houses ;)

  • I jusy bought this game:)..I have played pharaoh and Zeus..but not this

  • @RTard48JRod have fun then !

  • i remember playing this game in 2007-2006

  • I'm going to try it, thanks.

  • @ThePkarz there is man..try to have 5 elite houses coz 1 elite house gives you 2 additional forts...the max number of forts is 12...so to get the max number of forts you need administrative city, palace, and 5 housing blocks...

  • if you have 1 wharhouse the errr people who take stuff there stack up and when some goes some comes in and it really helps with the food :)

  • is ther a way to get more then 2forts its such a pain only getting 2

  • Comment removed

  • i have to say this is a great game :) but is ther anyway to get more then two forts???

  • how to unlock all items in the game? cause i only just see one item in religion category help plsss only the shrine

  • @jameswega27 it depends on the scenario that you're playing, because each scenario is time based within chinas history, so naturally you only have one religion in the beginning of the game

if you wish to try out everything setup a single player match in the steel era ;)

  • how to unlock all items in the game cause i just one item in religion category

  • Nice! Im playing this game for a first time, in the third campaing I think. the only think I hate of this game is the combat system, to a bit unbalanced. But besides that is awesome (better that pharaoh nor Zeus).Grettings.

  • Ahh, I remember when I played this game, when it first came out

  • Can you make a tutorial how to win a custom map?

or how to earn lotsa yen or whats inporten to build first.

  • @evilsoshi hey thanks for the comments, and the sub, I think you just got me to do another video on emperor ;) stay tuned it should be up today

  • @XfStef I made a save today, it went great, folowed ur guide, worked, but when i got like 1950 people, I had money problem, I saved it and have 2000- yen D=.

  • @evilsoshi it depends very much on what period you were playing, and also what resources you had on the map, I will continue my gameplay series this week, in which I'll show you guys how to build a propper economy ;)

  • This game looks so much like "Zeus - Master Of Olympus". I guess the same guys made this.

  • Pretty Effective O_O nice

  • I say this alot on these kinds of videos. But i love watching other people's way to play builder stradegy games. Especialy becuase no two people have the same approach to them.

  • FABULOUS TIPS!!! Thank you!!! This map works EVERY TIME!!! I'd appreciate it if you made MORE maps (tutorials) to show details about the ratio of population to farms/industries/military/trade centers, etc. You sure do know your stuff!!! Thanks again...I know you're busy but, if you could post more videos, you'd be helping so many of us...Emperor ROTMK is my absolute FAVORITE game -- I'm addicted!!! Keep up the good work!

  • @MrSCDrago1 glad I could help, when I'll get more time maybe I'll do some more tutorials, this summer has been crazy as I've been working on a personal project, I'll also post a video about that in a couple of weeks

  • wow, my houses always devolve since the walkers didn't get to all the houses.

thanks to your idea, i solved all my housing problem!

  • @16yen each walker has a specific number of tiles he will walk on, and that number also depends on which difficulty you're playing, so if you wish to learn more about walkers just build a road in a straight line and experiment with different buildings on one end, if you have the patience you can find out exactly how many tiles each building walker covers on one trip, that will help you very much in determining what the optimal neighboor would look like ;)

  • awsome

  • can u play online

  • @MrRangey7 I haven't got the time, I really wish I could upload more of these and I don't have the time for that either

  • Great job dude you've really helped me out.

  • @Zamolxx glad I could help

  • Very nice set up. I have always had afew problems no matter what way I did it. This way seems to be working perfectly so far. Thanks!

  • hi XfStef that was a really good good video. i was wondering can you do an agricultural tutorial video? because im bad at producing foods and industry stuff like paper, ceramics, silk, hemp

  • @mintico well now, depending on each map, if you use the houseing guide that I've just done you'll make more than enough food/hemp if you follow this simple rule: for each block have 2 hemp farms and 3 food farms, prefferably one of each type if you can. Also concerning silk I make 2 silk industries for each silkworm shed I have ;)

Maybe I'll get into some more details in the future, but I can't promise anything. Thanx for commenting ;)

  • Hey, thanks! I'm curently playing Emperor:RotMK (the early levels, Zhengzhou city) and I was having a lot of problems figuring out how housing works best, compared to the old Ceaser III! Not a problem now, looks like a great setup! :)

  • @Vruk88 hey no problem, ofcourse this isn't the only possibility of laying out your houses, however it is a pretty decent and efficient one,

    have fun !

  • Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I love the city building games, but I also suck at housing layouts. It used to drive my roommate in college nuts, since he was an engineer and I couldn't even do basic city design.

  • @gfanikf glad that you like it, and if you enjoy city builders, I'll probably post some new stuff in the next weeks from all the Caesar series games ;)

  • Also good.
