Hpw come Indycar racing is just used as a lauch pad for drivers planning to go to Nascar and F1?

How come so many past F1 champions came over to Indycar in the past? Its all great racing to me. I feel sorry for the people that are stuck on one form of racing only. I don't consider them to be racing fans.

I noticed that most indycar drivers today spend 1 year doing indycar racing before they run to Nascar and F1. By the time most of these drivers become most famous during their Nascar years and F1 years. I find Indycars good and Le mans sports car racing good. I noticed Tony Stewarts Indycar years are forgotten and his Nascar years are remembered why is that?

a fair few indycar drivers have made their way over to NASCAR though, mainly without success. But they go for the challege i think. I mean Hornish achieved all he could in indycar, franchitti did also.

indycar wasnt what it is today... It was a series that had branched off of CART and had an all oval schedule. Mostly guys from USAC were running during Tony's years in indycar

Champ Car doesn't have oval racing. I'd like a merger with just the Indy 500 as the only left-turn only race.
