hey i've been wondering about this program. I emailed the dean who constructs this program but i wanted to talk to people who have actually done it before. I'm a senior fixing to start my first year of college and im thinking of attending this program after my four years of college are up. I think your videos would give me a good idea about this, but im thinking about staying with a host family, what do u think? Dorm or family?
@BarrelracerChamp45 I would say staying with a host family will probably give you more exposure to Japanese culture as well as more opportunity to practice speaking Japanese with your host family members. The only reason I chose dorm is because of my dietary restrictions. I didn't want to offend or make a host family feel uncomfortable because I don't eat meat.
Im so glad I foound your videos. Im 14 years old and I'll be 15 soon. Im studying abroad next summer and the school year after this. Hope that made since lol. Well anyway, I thank you so much for uploading these and I'll be staying in toyko and in a dorm as well! XD Im so excited
Thanks, I know she will have a blast. She is studying with a KCP program. Her little brother watched all your videos yesterday, look like we will be sending another child to Japan!
@jwnulf I'm sure your daughter will do great. Is she there studying or just visiting? Japan as a whole is pretty safe and as cities go Tokyo is one of the safest in the world. I'm sure your daughter will have a blast.
go to ur university/college they should have a study abroad program dept. but you gotta make arrangements ahead. im also planning to do the same thing w/ a kcp program at my school. u might need good gpa though like 2.5 or 3.0 depend on the skul, also F.A. and student loan might help out with the costs...save up for ur personal expenses when u arrive in tokyo cause i hear its expensive!
can you handle a yr? im only planning for a semester cuuse its too expensive. im also buying a japanese cd from rosetta stone language company kinda like preparing myself in advance lolz.
shirtless... hardcore lol. anyhow, i hope you'll be able to find a meal routine. It's sad that im jealous of your hard day haha. btw, awesome lighting. It's also great that your being forced to communicate in japanese. Very impressed dude. I'll be waiting for your new vids. Good luck man. - JoseC
I'd be starvin.. I'm jealous you are experiencing new culture. It sounds like a rocky beginning, but it seems so coool too. I hope you get on the internet soon. I miss you bro. I hope you are enjoying the experience. I framed that pic of us as kids in the sink..lol jk..I went bowling with the peeps yesterday, will kicked ass. Thats my update, lol. Later
Birry!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad to see you're ok! Lord we were worried about your flight cuz of the "never been on a plane" thing... I can't wait to see you other vids!!

I wish I would have found these videos before my daughter left for Japan today. It looks like you survived and I hope she does too!

Speaking of bowling, I found an alley in Shibuya. You should swim over here and we could knock down a few pins...
