When I hear this piece I think of it as more spacious. Beethoven himself said to play the beginning misteriously and quietly. Your voicing is nice, but the playing is choppy and doesn't feel very expressive to me. Maybe take a while before you learn another piece like this, as carl czerny (a student of beethoven) said "to play beethoven only for the speed and notes is to miss the point entirely" I feel like you missed the point.
wow.....awesome....that is a very hard sog to pay....how long did it take you to learn it? bcuz it is awesome.....u r the 1st person that is under 50 that i've seen play it...wow...talent..
the ff chords at 0:45 are big and hard to hit them at accurately with speed. do you have big hands or something?because you hit all of them perfectly. if you have a special technique to mastering chords like this please share it with me
I got the last month two times a list from Youtube with new uploads. I read only your add Favorites, so I did not know you have uploaded your own work too. I'm glad the coming time I can enjoy myself by watching your uploads in the last month.
The first I saw was this one. seeing this. Amazing as always. I repeat my prophecy in the future the whole world will see you on the biggest stages.
You have made a teriffic beginning on this piece. Now you will be able to come back to it any time in the future you want to, and it will grow with you. And the things you learned about this sonata from Russell Sherman will always remain in your memory. May it help Zhuo Yu bring Perfection to the Universe!
Well, this has burst on an unsuspecting Nathan and I am stunned! We are all but burnt out on the "Appassionata" in Portland, having heard it five times in the past two years from Portland Piano International soloists, including Valentina Lisitsa and Conrad Tao. I must say yours is among the very best in terms of power and intensity. George, you never cease to amaze me! It's clearly a case of "shock and awe"!!
You are so good at the piano. How about we trade? I teach math at the University of San Diego. You can ask me math questions and you answer me piano questions. Sounds good?
very musical indeed and amazingly well-controlled.
