Thanks for the comment. If you go to go on the Tyseley (Vintage Trains) website, Bob Meanley (the chief engineer at Tyseley) is optimistic that given the funding she will be out again in November 2009. Sure this will depend on what they find needs doing - but she should be back sometime. Donate if you care. Chris
I remember her from the late 70's when I was first walked round Tyseley's engine shed's b4they closed them off to the public. Always a nicely turned out loco. Does she ever slip when starting her trains as I haven't seen her do that once. Very surefooted.
Considering she's at the end of her ticket her appearance is an outstanding credit to her crew. I can't recal her slipping though I do have a video of one of the Halls momentarily losing her feet leaving Chester. Chris
What an excellent video Chris, You chose to stand away from the crowds and it certainly paid off when she set off with those cylinder cocks open. Can't fault it...5*...Bob
Thanks Steve - I must admit it was a bit nippy (but at least it was dry). I had been hoping for a dusting of snow till I saw the very last weather forecasts. Chris
well done, i caught it at crewe then raced to beeston got it there then returned to crewe later on. think im having problems with my camcorder as its not focusing properly.
Thanks Lou. You were busy then (I'll check to see what you've put up next). Wretched technology - great when it works. Hope it's not serious/expensive. Chris
yes i was frozen today still not got warm as i waited for the northern belle to come back to crewe as well after it passing while rood ashton took on water. think its a new camcorder i will get a sony this time not touching samsung again. will edit film tomorrow so should go on sometime later tomorrow. liked the flags on the front
Thanks Ryan - looks a bit messy as the high quality version isn't available (yet). Winter sunsets have a very special glow to them - shame it didn't stay for the departure. Chris

Beautiful Video - Is this really the end of the line for "Rood Ashton Hall" ??? ... Or is she being overhauled, in order that she may ride again ???

Very nice video mate 5*! But can someone explain how mainline certificates work and how 10 year boiler certificates integrate with them please?

Thanks for the kind comment. I'll leave it to someone with more knowledge to have a go at your question. Chris

Very well made here. The opening shot I favoured as it had very good sun. Very steamy departure at Chester! The last we'l see of Rood Ashton Hall.
