With all due respect. John`s voice puts me to sleep. To hear him playing country is like foil on the teeth. If it were not for Billy, I probably would hate X. This, what I just watched is crap I can see at any appalachian fest. Not what you get from an acomplished musician. If this is where John`s heart is, great. I think it is a shame. You can`t do Hungry Wolf or Blue Spark and go Grassy.

I wouldn't even listen to Kntters and didn't know their tunes as I had this kinda punk mentality I quit listening, finally I saw X play again after 13 yrs I figured to give the Knitters,and Dave Alvin a listen. This was the first time I'd heard or seen them. I posted this song in particular cause it sounded so awful and I guess it sorta hit your nerve, man I like those comments.."like foil on teeth" wow..great.

Awesome!!! Knitters. And to think I blew of a chance to see them in Chicago '05 just because I had to go to work. DAMMITT!!!
