I went to Vet center for PTSD counselling and was told that they'll stop paying for Travel expense cz its a personal problem, its not a lot ($25/ 30?miles) but for people w/ no way of getting there, well, suck it up 'cz its a personal choice'. I'm a combat vet,purple heart recipient and according to them, its a 'choice'.

Yeah, on top of that, one of my co-worker's brother did a tour in Iraq from July 2006 to March 2007. He retired in May 2007. Two months later that same year on Independence Day (July 4, 2007), he killed his wife, two kids and than of course himself. These pro war fuckheads don't realize the damage they are doing not just to the troops, but they're destroying (killing) the whole damn family as well, with this phoney "let's get the terrorist over there, before they come here" bullshit!

I know a soldier who committed suicide upon return home from Iraq. He told me that he did things and saw things while he was there that no person should have to witness. Soldiers are given the responsibility of protecting the other men they serve with. Sometimes that means having to kill others to keep them safe. Sometimes you have to watch your buddies killed. That was what happened to the man I knew. The prospect of going back to Iraq was impossible for him to grasp. Do you understand yet?

I started the "Corpsman Report" OCT2006. It has testimoney told to me my Vets and Vet's family menbers that tell why the suicide rate is so high. How on C-Span2, on 16MAY2007 the Veterans Affairs stated to a US Senate committe that ea & every year 5,000 Vets suicide & many (4+) times that 5,000 are going to jail ea and ever year. How Sen. McCain took credit for helping a Vet, the help was like a lifeline that crumbed when the Vet grabbed for it & the Vet suicide

It's not just the vets recently returning from war. I just heard about this at V.A. hospital in KCMO from another female vet like myself. I've talked about doing this myself as a single mother of two to the mental health staff in enough detail I shouldn't be here. I served honorably 1979-1986.
