  • what no epic battle? just a lightning bolt?

  • Wow. The Staff of Demnos is badass. Too bad the game didn't have enough memory to include a proper ending.

  • 69.14% done

    69.14%

    69.

    6. 9. FPKRGTHBPFOHTGRJPF.

  • I just had a flashback to Daft Punk around the 10:00 mark.

  • Huh, I was sort of expecting an epic boss fight at the end, but I guess the whole game have the whole challange

  • Apparently, Shadax is a Grey Jedi.

  • @ToHoldNothing If your talking about the fact that he used lightning then your wrong. The Sith use Force Lightning. The Jedi don't use it due to it being part of the dark side of the force.

  • @masterphazon I was referencing what I recall about Kyle Katarn. He was one of the few "Jedi" that could use force lightning, but also force absorb. A pure Jedi wouldn't use it, which is why he's called a Grey Jedi.

Though apparently Kyle Katarn isn't technically a Grey Jedi, since those are usually considered more unorthodox in methods than even he was, such as Qui Gon Jinn or Jolee Bindo.

  • @ToHoldNothing Ah, I see. Sorry for my mistake.

  • That was actually pretty good of an end for a game with no fight mechanics. I have to wonder how big that place is if you only ~70%, tho. @_@

  • Best Final Boss EVER!!!!!

  • So, uhh, what else would you need to do for 100%?

  • that ending was AWSOME!

  • The ending makes sense, actually, since the player can't actively kill anything in the gameplay. We (by that I mean the gaming community) are so accustomed to seeing a final boss that anything else looks odd and anticlimactic.

  • @GutsBatman Lucien, Fable 2. But instead of a lightning bolt from the Staff of Denmos, a beam of light from the Music Box.

  • I always liked this game, still got the nes cartridge too

  • you ninja!

  • Thanks for this LP and memories Nakou.

  • NakaTeleeli, lol that brought back wonderful memories of games long past beaten. Thank you =D

  • That ending was like a weak fart in video game form.

  • Quite well done Naka! Any chance we'll see the SNES Sequel, Equinox, from you? It's a little more cruel if I recall right though..

  • Think on my most thorough playthroughs I still only got 98.1% or something like that.

  • is it me or was the ending kinda anti-climatic?

  • That...was the most anticlimactic ending. Ever.

  • @SykotikKytten CONGRATURATION!

    THIS STORY IS HAPPY END!!

  • @NIMPAK1

O MY GOD i havent read that line sinds 2008 XD

  • @SykotikKytten That... was the most awesomest ending. Ever.

  • 3:11 Why didn't you just use your yellow potion?

  • Awesome Finale :)

Wooo! Wheeee! Eeeeek! Yeeeeaaaaahhhh! Eat it Game!!!!

  • @JuanMamaril By the way, had you not picked up the final piece of the staff as soon as you got into its room & you jumped on top of it you would've accessed that detonator for that secret room you mentioned. Also I learned of this information from one guy's 100% run through for this game & let me tell you that guy was also awesome!

  • @JuanMamaril Durp, you found another way :D never mind LOL!

  • @NakaTeleeli Naka, since you loved touhou, you should've played Maristice

  • @HellsBirdie He played it once on a stream a long time ago. Not sure if he'll do it again.

  • Okay, that ending was a bit funny to me at least. Not really enough to make me go through the game myself, but still good. Still, 179 rooms, and you did only 69%? This game's pretty huge for a NES game. I shudder to think what a hack of it would be like...

  • Wait so... he didn't expect you to have the staff of demnos... even though you needed it to open the door?

  • I was rather hoping for a boss battle where you push orbs into him.

  • ....Anticlimatic...Worth it? I still need to think about that.../goes insane thinking of it

  • @Overboard928 It's an NES game. To be honest we're lucky it even had end credits.

  • Wow. If I had played that game back in the 80s on an actual NES, no savestates and all that, and after all that torture finally got to the end... I probably would have raged.

As a person viewing it on YouTube, I just make a trollface.

  • @sdcSpade It's an NES game, at the time or arcade ports where you're lucky to get a "game over" before getting dumped to the title screen. Personally, I rather liked it, especially the music's timing with it.

  • Well that was anti-climatic.

  • 'Grats on finishing it Naka >D! Dare to aim for a 100% run/have you ever done a 100% run?

  • That...ending. I'm not sure what happened. Kinda really anticlimatic though.
