It all depends on whether you dig a straight line and at what angle you are digging. I mean the other day I rode the Subway and it was dug in a non-straight line and I ended up in another station, not Amsterdam Island or the ocean. But if you dig in a different angle you COULD get to China (ignoring that you would probably burn, melt, and get stuck by gravity at the center of the Earth... but I mean... besides that).
