Amazing version by Marcus Miller respect to the young Alex Han. I listened to both versions also and this is clearly better mixed (live) Alex needs to change horns as Yamaha a little thin expecially up on the harmonics. All the same wonderful work.
Alex Han is 22 years old and plays all the saxophones. This one is the bass saxophone and sounds remarkably like veteran of the instrument James Carter
You tube is funny cause I see a lot of comments from people that can't really play it so funny u can't know about it if you ain't about it I like to see real players out here everybody can listen
@Americanjazzlady I think you pretty much misunderstood my point. I'll say it again: That is not a saxophone; it's a bass clarinet. And no I didn't call you YOU a douche, I said I wasn't correcting you to be a douche but to inform you of the instrument he was playing. As a friendly gesture, but I guess you didn't quite catch that. Have a good day.
@zomg0d What you are saying is still vulgar. There is another way to DESCRIBE YOURSELF and I know that you were not calling me any bad names. You are addressing someone you don't know. All you had to say is it's a clarinet. And...I would have said ok. THANK YOU.
@Americanjazzlady Not to be a douche, but I'm pretty sure that is a bass clarinet (do you spell it that way?). I can assure you that it's not a saxophone though. For the last part I do agree with you - this piece is simply amazing.
I've heard Millers version with Sanborn, but this kid eats his lunch. Wow! Alex Han is one bad boy on this sax he goes off at the end of this song. This boy must have sent hours maybe days shedin' Good Job fellas!
Alex świetny saksofonista,rewelacja.

Didn't sound thin to me. Sounded like harmonics popped out with ease. Yamahas are great horns.

My God... Alex Han - so young and already among the best, in the same line with Kenny Garrett and Michael Brecker.

from 4:47 I'd call it Brecker revisited :D well, Alex is allways outstanding

Great chops! If I didn't know any better I'd think I was hearing a young Art Porter, Jr. R.I.P.
