what the hell...Ali in his prime..before the layoff would koe Mike in his prime. TYson is perfect fodder for Ali. Easily phyched out and good luck landing a solid shot on a prime Ali. I have learned to like Mike but with Ali's chin coupled with his ability to avoid punches IF you could hit him. Ali was a tough,tough guy with a will to win. Ali didn't have the greatest chin ever but a very good one(remember the Cooper and Frazier knockdowns)he had an amazing will and fighting spirit though.Ali was great but he had life and death struggles with Frazier and Tyson was waaaay better than Frazier in his prime!But this is just our opinion and none of us can prove the other wrong,ha ha.

In over 60 fights he only went down twice, and both times got right back up. Some of the heaviest punchers in history (e.g. Foreman, Liston, Shavers) couldn't hurt him. I'd be interested to know who you think had a better chin, especially in the heavyweight division. With re to Tyson - he may have been better than Joe in prime, but never had Joe's stamina or heart, which was what gave Ali trouble. Handling power on the other hand was never an issue for Ali.

Tyson was better than Frazier,no doubt.People seem to forget that Tyson in his prime was almost a complete fighter with heart and stamina but his lack of stamina late in his career is what many people remembers today.Tyson was so fast and threw combinations from all angles and really broke the opponent down but later he fought on power alone and then Ali would have crushed him.I do think that Tyson could have won on points in his prime.

There are alot of fighters with great chins but it's so hard saying who had the best chin.Nice talking boxing with you and this is what great about these guys-you could make the case for both Tyson and Ali but like I said Ali accompliced more.
