Force nforce motherboards you can use Verdant's guide on insanelymac, however that "still waiting for root device" error is due the fact that you need to boot the DVD with a PATA drive set to master and SATA hdd. Try to boot with bootflags -v cpus=1 maxmem=2048 (if you have 3Gb+) and you should be fine. Try using iAtkos S3 v2 distro. Good luck.
hey man nice vid, can you tell me in what way did you got to work that gtx 260 under leopard?
i installed 10.5.6 perfectly on a 780i (internet, sound, chipset work) i just can't get a better resolution for my gtx 260 i tried netkas way but no luck.
How'd you get it to boot up?
On any of my nForce boards it just hangs at root device.
Did your mobo let you set AHCI?
Mine doesn't -_-

@vicdeldoc Finally got snowleo running on it, PATA CD/HDD.
However the drive that I'm using tends to just wonk out, spamming my logs with something about flushing a buffer and returning 0x05
Which seems to be a common error for failing Seagate drives, and required a drive firmware flash, which I can't do with the MAXTOR drive I was using.
Was fun while it lasted :)
