Formula D rules do allow some changes from FWD (Foust's Scion) to RWD (Foust's Scion!) But, yes, the final car must be RWD. And Tanaka Racing isn't an Asian team. Dwight Tanaka is the Director of Operations for the Long Beach Grand Prix. He's been with that company for 30 years.
Alex Pfeiffer shared the car last season with Conrad Grunewald. And, yes, Alex can wheel a car with excellence, maybe even better next year. They've been testing.

I'm pretty sure drifting's for any rwd car. There's a falken mustang too that jjust won a formula d comp. But it still is Tanaka Racing (Asian)
