What a treat to hear Charlotte singing this wonderful tribute to Julie w/ a song from the musical that was pivotal to her career. How gracious of Julie to be so encouraging to her in return - my heart aches watching this as Julie sat there hearing perhaps an echo of her own pure voice at that age - while emotionally dealing with the tragic loss of her ability to sing (see pt 1 of this interview). Dame Julie is the incomparable, My Fair Lady - always.

darling child you are brilliant! may i say one tip please, when you take the intake breath at the end of the phrase and before the next, practice doing this as silently as possible> don't let the sound of the intake breath ever be heard in your singing. other than that , absolutely lovely.

and if you feel short of wind, in some phrases, you can always in a pinch sneak in a quick breath, but you should not ever have to do it if you rehearse enough. stage nerves may cause it sometimes, though.
